Midwest Dhamaka

Midwest Dhamaka is the University of Cincinnati's premier Bollywood-Fusion collegiate national dance competition. We are nationally renowned as one of the oldest, most successful competitions in the United States. This year, we are partnered with the national championships - Legends! We're excited to bring 8 teams from around the country to compete in February and support our philanthropy, 1N5. MD is proud to be a proponent of diversity on campus and welcomes all students. 

Midwest Dhamaka (MD) engages campus students by providing leadership roles in logistics, marketing, sponsorship, and more, allowing them to gain valuable event planning and teamwork experience. To support both our competition and our philanthropy partner, 1N5, students participate in Bengals concession shifts throughout the football season. These shifts foster teamwork while raising essential funds. MD also collaborates with student organizations to promote cultural awareness and mental health advocacy. By welcoming diverse students and showcasing South Asian dance, MD creates an inclusive and engaging experience for the entire campus.
