About our Organization

The Hamilton County Land Reutilization Corporation (“Landbank”) was incorporated by the County Treasurer in October 2011 and the Landbank Board was appointed in January 2012. In February 2012, the Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority (The Port) was contracted to serve as the management company for the Landbank. Under this agreement, The Port staff provides all executive and administrative services for the Landbank. This relationship allows the Landbank to utilize the tools, expertise, and resources of The Port as to efficiently carry out the Landbank’s purpose and goals.

How our organization engages UC students

We have worked with UC on a numerous of situations and projects. Including most recently, we are collaborating with a UC professor Peter Yi for the OLBA 2025 Conference. Professor Yi will be holding open a lecture showcasing a new innovative game to address the vacant parcel issues which has been prevalent through all jurisdictions within Hamilton County. The game is to provide a road map of getting a building from vacant to reintegrated into society to provide single family housing in investor heavy real estate market. We also have had numerous Co-Op opportunities for UC students to get experience and understand real estate through our lens. We also have spoken to classes at UC as well. Again to open up perspective to show the students what they are learning being applied to the current market and market conditions.
