About our Organization

BookCats is an organization at UC whose primary goal is uniting book lovers across campus to enjoy novels each month in a safe, inclusive environment. Members have the opportunity to suggest books that they’ve wanted to read, which helps everyone knock something off their to-be-read list.  Then, members come together to discuss their thoughts about the previous novel and occasionally participate in fun, themed activities! With only one meeting a month, BookCats caters to a wide variety of readers and schedules so bibliophiles of all types can join in on the fun. Ultimately, if you are looking for an inclusive, safe, and enjoyable space to discuss books of varying genres and authors, you’re in the right place!

How our organization engages UC students

Our organization at UC brings students together to discuss, read, and engage with a wide variety of books and authors. The mission of BookCats is, through group and small group discussion, to create a safe space for like-minded college students to consider diverging perspectives on books and novels as well as foster a community of readers.
