The Stewart Elementary School Little Vikes Garden provides in-class supplemental cirrculum for pre-K through 4th grade students. The garden consists of 52 vegetable beds, 2 pollinator gardens, 4 outdoor classrooms, and 2 nature trails. During the summer the produce is donated to needy families living in the Princeton school district. The program is run solely by volunteers.
How our organization engages UC students
The Little Vikes Garden Program provides in-class, hands-on activities designed to complement the core curriculum being taught at the school. During the summer, produce from the garden is donated to families in need. Distribution partners include Gorman Heritage Farm and the Society of St Andrews
