How our organization engages UC students
My Life My Story is a new club at the College of Medicine that works with the Cincinnati VA (located right next to campus) conducting in-depth interviews with Veteran patients to write narratives of their lives. Their stories will be integrated into their medical records, not only to provide more background on each patient but also to deepen healthcare providers' understanding of their patients through narrative medicine. This organization engages UC Medical Students to learn the importance of narrative medicine and to improve their listening skills.
