Our mission at Ohio Valley Hospice is dedicated in providing compassionate, comfort care to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness. We serve our patients and families with integrity, compassion and respect. Committed to creating an environment of caring, our interdisciplinary team approach of physical, psychosocial and spiritual services, support each individual's life journey with comfort and dignity. Ohio Valley Hospice is dedicated to serve those affected by end of life illness. We were founded in 2008 by an amazing woman, Tara Brodbeck, and named Hospice of the Miami Valley. We quickly became one of the top hospices in Ohio with a "Yes" philosphy, where we did our best to make any request from a patient or family happen, no matter how big or small. Tara retired in 2019 and sold our company to Abode Hospice and Home Health. From there, our growth continued as we had three offices throughout the Miami Valley, Cincinnati, and surrounding areas. Due to the expansion, we underwent a name change and rebranded as Ohio Valley Hospice. We no serve 15 counties and are still a "Yes" company, as we utilize our growing resource pool to do our best to say yes to just about any and all requests from the patients and families we serve.

At Ohio Valley Hospice, we value the opportunity to partner with University of Cincinnati to support the development of your students across nursing, medicine, social work, therapy, and spiritual care by providing immersive, real world experiences that extend beyond the classroom to include interdisciplinary team collaboration, patient and family communication, care coordination, and exposure to the full continuum of serious illness management; through structured rotations, hands on mentorship, and direct participation in IDG workflows, students develop the clinical skill, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence needed to transition confidently into practice and make an immediate impact in the communities they serve.
