About our Organization
NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Southwest Ohio is a compassionate and community-driven organization dedicated to providing vital support, education, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by mental illness in the region. Through various programs and initiatives, NAMI Southwest Ohio works tirelessly to raise awareness about mental health, reduce stigma, and offer a lifeline of resources to empower those living with mental health challenges. With a focus on collaboration and inclusivity, NAMI Southwest Ohio fosters an environment where individuals can find understanding, connection, and the tools necessary to navigate their mental health journeys with resilience and hope.
How our organization engages UC students
UC students can volunteer as a program leader with Ending the Silence:https://namiswoh.org/support-and-education/presentations/nami-ending-the-silence/ This program is delivered to Middle to High School students by young adults living with or affected by a mental health condition. Additional volunteer opportunities are available at our annual Walk fundraiser the second weekend of May.
