About our Organization

Through our Renters Club, members establish long-term savings accounts and earn money by: • Paying rent on time and being a good tenant. • Investing in their health (examples: attending routine doctor’s appointments, fitness programs, and community health events). • Investing in their community (examples: attending neighborhood council meetings and community-building events, and supporting fellow members by helping with childcare, errands, meals, etc.). • Setting personal goals with assistance from our Family Coaches. • Participating in financial literacy classes led by our Financial Coach. • Completing annual self-sufficiency assessments to track progress and identify/address barriers to their success. Members can earn up to $155 monthly for taking advantage of these opportunities (plus $140 annually for completing assessments), or up to $2,000 annually. They can withdraw funds annually to purchase a home/vehicle, pursue education, grow/start a business, reduce debt, or they can continue saving.

How our organization engages UC students
