About our Organization
The Exhibitions Committee is a group of three volunteers, at times with large tasks, helping to organize and coordinate the ceramics exhibitions that will be on display throughout the city during the NCECA (National Council On Education for the Ceramic Arts) conference in March.
How our organization engages UC students
The annual conference of the National Council On Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) is coming to Cincinnati March 15–18, 2023. This region-wide celebration of ceramic art, teaching, and learning includes a series of exhibitions highlighting diverse artists and forms of expression using clay and the ceramic process. NCECA is one of the largest art conferences in the country, flooding its host city with thousands of attendees each year. Artists, educators, curators and community members gather for four days to visit exhibitions throughout the region, attend insightful lectures, observe artists making sculpture and pottery, and take art tours. A collector’s tour and preview receptions are also held in the week leading up to the conference. Next year, these events will take place in our local museums and galleries as well as universities and non-traditional exhibition spaces.
