About our Organization
Our Mission Statement: The vibrancy of the business climate within the city of Fort Thomas is a critical component of a healthy community. Utilizing the Main Street four-point approach, the Board focuses on positively impacting the designated Renaissance district through economic and physical revitalization. All actions taken by the Board are done with a commitment to improve how we live, work and raise families within the city. Our Vision Statement: Fort Thomas Renaissance values our small town atmosphere; we preserve our historic sites; we protect our natural beauty. We strive to strengthen the fabric of our community through historic preservation; we promote innovative uses for old structures, community outreach activities, economic development, and efforts for a sustainable community. The result is a community where families enjoy life. Started in 2007, Fort Thomas Renaissance Board works to create community base events and programs for the city. This has included the Fort Thomas Farmers' Market, concerts in the park, Community bike rides, Merchants & Music, along with additional new ones such as Paws in the Park, Flea in the Fort, and community parties that highlight our businesses.
How our organization engages UC students
How we accomplish our mission and vision is by having a board of community volunteers who meet once a month to help create community events through public input, personal experiences, and new ideas. With the help of additional volunteers from local schools and the greater Cincinnati area, we put on events for the whole family from 8 years old to 80 years old. We invite people from all over to come and experience the arts and our businesses.
