About our Organization
The Jewish Hospital-Mercy Health was the first Jewish Hospital in the US founded in 1850 and it was the first Jewish teaching hospital in the US. The hospital provides opportunities for all volunteers who are part of its mission. Jewish Hospital has many opportunities including lobby desk, lab, patient floor support, physical therapy, pharmacy, and our women's center. The Jewish Hospital-Mercy Health is centrally located in the heart of Cincinnati and very close proximity to 2 highways I71 and I75 for accessibility. We warmly welcome all new volunteers to Jewish Hospital-Mercy Health to serve.

Getting started involves...
- A 30 minute interview with the Volunteer Coordinator
- Providing medical immunization records
- Providing proof of TB testing
- Completing a background check.
- commitment of 50 hours of service.
Welcome new volunteers! We have many opportunities for you to serve in our hospital. At The Jewish Hospital you will not only serve our patients you will also support our associates who dedicate their lives to others. Note, the hospital setting is unique and should not be viewed as a casual volunteer setting; professional behaviors are vital to the life saving work that takes place within the hospital. We ask you to understand that once you commit yourself, you are committed to 50 hours of service and we ask you arrive consistently and punctually each shift. Our volunteers help create a healing environment by being helpful, adaptable, respectful, and compassionate.
