How our organization engages UC students
At the heart of our mission is the belief that every person deserves the joy and unconditional love of a pet and every pet deserves good health and a loving home. Pets In Need 501(c) (3) nonprofit is committed to helping pets stay healthy and together with the people who love them. Pets In Need provides low-cost veterinary care and food for pets from homes in which income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. Its clinic is the only resource of its kind in Greater Cincinnati and has served pets from thousands of low-income households since opening in 2013. Our clinic provides the same routine services offered by any private veterinary practice – wellness exams; vaccines; testing; treatment of skin/ear/eye issues; parasite prevention; and ongoing treatment for chronic conditions such as diabetes. PIN partners with the UC Blue Ash Veterinary Technology program under an MOU. The two organizations are committed to working together to provide veterinary care for pets enrolled at Pets In Need and clinical experience for UCBA Veterinary Technology students.
