Volunteers are needed for our 18th Annual Open Your Heart dinner on February 3, 2026 at Stone Creek Dining Company in Montgomery.  At this time, volunteers are needed to deliver meals to guests that choose to support from home (driving shift) or at the event (event shift). The driving shift will be around 1:00 - 3:00 pm, with the event shift being from 5:00 - 9:00pm.

We have moved into a new building and need help painting the new building.  There may be a few areas that need a little patching.  

hop N Share is a one-day community event where shoppers at Kroger are asked to SHOP for what they need and SHARE an item that will be given to our emergency shelter for individuals and families fleeing from intimate partner violence. It’s a statewide initiative led by Lady Beshear and all Domestic Violence shelters in Kentucky participate. Last year we raised over $55,000 in goods/donations, and this could not have been done without our volunteer donation collectors and runners. 

Shop and Share this year is February 7th, 2026 and there are two shifts to choose from. The shifts are 845 – 12 and 1145 – 3.  We need donation collectors(in store) who will be stationed at Kroger stores to share the wish list/explain Shop N share for people going in and then collecting goods and saying thank you to people who donate.  

If you have anyone who might be interested in helping with Shop and Share in the Northern Kentucky area could you please share the link to sign up. Step into a winter adventure that refreshes the soul and supports the birds we love! Volunteer with The Grail in contributing to the nation’s longest-running community science project, the Christmas Bird Count. Our group will meet at Grailville, just outside of Loveland, on Thursday December 18 at 8 AM to take a leisurely 1.5 mile hike to look for birds on the property! We will spend the morning identifying, counting, and recording all the birds we see and hear. Partway through, we’ll take a break at The Grail Headquarters to warm up, get warm drinks, and eat treats.

We expect the walk to take about 3 to 4 hours, though you are welcome to head out early if needed. Dress for the weather and bring binoculars! Whether you’re a seasoned birder or just starting out, we have a place for everyone.

Additional groups will be counting at different locations in our circle, which is 15 miles in diameter stretching from Loveland to Morrow to Stonelick. This year we’re running a trial count and inviting more birders to help cover a wider range of habitats in our circle. The data collected from this citizen science effort goes into a historical database that is used in all sorts of bird related projects. See the National Audubon Society web site for more information on what the Christmas Bird Count is all about.

Garden of Joy is hosting an open house at our culinary school on December 20th. We will be following the open house with a service by our founder Rev. O'Neal and a community dinner in our neighboring church, House of Joy's gymnasium. We are in need of volunteers to assist in set up, kitchen assistance, serving, and clean up.

Hospice of Cincinnati (HOC) was awarded a grant to install an indoor aviary at the Blue Ash inpatient care center. We are looking for a student intern in Ecology or Biological Studies to plan and execute the project with manager supervision. Research best practices, creating design plans, gathering bids from vendors, overseeing construction, bird installation and sustainability are all part. This would make a great capstone project.

Our weekly Vaccine Clinic is one of the most impactful ways we serve the community, providing affordable vaccines and microchips that help pets stay healthy and keep families together. We can’t do this without volunteers—your time directly helps dozens of pets and their people every week. 

Our Vaccine Clinic is every Thursday 1-3pm at our Colerain location. We need volunteers to help greet, check in guests, and draw up vaccines.

Enrichment is an important part of animal care at CAC, it helps to keep our dogs from getting bored and keeps their body and minds active. Enrichment serves as the fun and engaging items that our dogs get to play with while in their kennels including kongs, lick mats, pupsicles and more! Enrichment engages a dog's mind and senses to help reduce stress and overall leads to better mental and physical health... in a shelter environment this is especially crucial! During a shift volunteers will help with a variety of tasks including: prepping enrichment items, distributing enrichment items into or on kennels, cleaning or putting away enrichment items, cleaning or organizing the enrichment room.

This opportunity occurs at both Colerain and Dane.

We are building out indoor aquaponic gardens to grow healthy food for our community of Northside. Please help us care for existing gardens, learn how to use aquaponics for food production, help grow food for this food desert/food swamp and support the health of Northside.

We are a fair trade non-profit retail organization and we are hoping to launch our first e-commerce site with Shopify asap but have run into an issue. We have two store locations and currently the site allows customers to add products from both stores into their cart, but then they cannot check out because some items are only available at one store. We need someone to write code that forces them to choose a store to shop from and only allows them to shop from that store's inventory. Having this website will allow us to reach more customers than ever and help support more artisans around the world with fair wages.

Join us on a trip to Ecuador in May 2026 to provide medical care for individuals in low income areas and be able to receive a 40 hour volunteer service certificate.

We are an inner city ministry that lives and works in the neighborhoods we serve. Our mission exists to build relationships with our neighbors and share hope in brokenness. We target neighborhoods that are underserved. We have a staff size of about 50 where we have after school programs, sports performance center, houses for women in sex trafficking, men and women transitional homes, two coffee shops, screen printing, and other forms of ministry to love our neighbors.

Join us in making a difference! Every Wednesday, Found Village hosts educational support sessions for our young people—creating a safe, inspiring space where they can learn, grow, and connect. We’re looking for passionate volunteers to help bring these sessions to life. What You’ll Do:

We are seeking mentors for our after-school program for youth in 3rd-5th grade at Westwood Elementary School. Mentors will be responsible for providing vital support to young people, focusing on their social, emotional, and academic development by building confidence, offering advice, and serving as positive role model. They help with daily life skills, assist in decision-making, encourage academic persistence and higher education, and provide a safe space for youth to share feelings and explore interests and career paths. This support helps youth develop self-esteem, resilience, and a sense of belonging, leading to better choices, stronger mental health, and greater academic and future success.

We are seeking tutors for our after-school program that starts on 10/21/25 and goes through 1/27/26. The after-school program is for youth in grades 3rd-5th. We are seeking tutors with experience in math and reading, but also teaching healthy study habits. Tutoring sessions are once a week on Tuesdays for one hour. 

The Wyoming Fine Arts Center (WFAC) is looking for Camp Assistants to help run our No School? Let’s Art Programs.

The WFAC is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization whose mission is to educate, create experiences, and nurture appreciation in music and other creative and performing arts across all ages, races, abilities, and backgrounds. We do this through excellence in teaching, creative programming, interdisciplinary experiences, community partnerships, and engagement.

Tasks may include:

Camp Assistance Volunteers' hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM with a break in between.

Responsibilities include:  ushers, taking tickets, program distribution or small concession stand (Actual assignment is provided after check-in) A brief training period is held at 6pm at each volunteer date. 

Age requirement is 15 or older, or accompanied by a parent. 

Volunteers are extremely important for a successful concert experience.  Its a great way to hear beautiful high quality music and help your community, by making sure the KSO can provide affordable, attractive and accessible programs.

When: Flexible (semester-long or summer term, remote/in-person hybrid)

Roles: Collect and analyze data from APNET programs and events, create impact reports, and support grant-writing with research on community needs and outcomes.

Learning Benefits: Students gain experience in nonprofit management, data analysis, and grant preparation. This is ideal for business, economics, social science, or public policy majors.

Skills Developed: Research, data analytics, report writing, nonprofit operations.

Activities:

Support social media campaigns by drafting posts, creating flyers, or short recap videos.

Take photos/videos at events and assist with media coverage coordination.

Head out with your camera and take photos of the plants and animals you see within Bull's Run. We are using the free iNaturalist app to gather data on the various species of plants and animals living at Bull's Run. All you need is your phone and the app.

How: Take close up pictures and it will directly input them into our project (location needs to be turned on). The newest release of iNaturalist makes suggestions for the species you are submitting.

Why: We use the data you collect to figure out if there are critters or plants living there that need extra protection, or if there are invasives that we need to work on clearing out.

When: Our BioBlitz runs all September and October. You can visit the arboretum anytime from dawn til dusk. Spend 5 minutes or 5 hours, this is totally up to you.

Operate broadcast-quality television camera in the field today! Now is a great time to get involved and be a part of a LIVE TV CREW that broadcasts local high school sports, Community Events, and more. No experience is necessary. Meals, training and a great time are provided as a part of this hyper-local community-access experience that puts professional-level broadcasts of local events on to the screens of residents across neighborhoods throughout Cincinnati.

Girl Scouts is a non-formal education program adapted to meet the interests of girls. Volunteer leaders like you can make that happen. Girl Scouts is seeking volunteers to work with girls to overcome their barriers to participation, such as, the lack of adult leadership.

Girl Scouts has opportunities for you to serve on a college student leadership team to work directly with a group for 6 or more regular meetings. Groups meet at school locations within 15-20 minute drive from campus. We do our best to pair drivers/riders together from the same college campus. Are you a healthcare student or someone passionate about making a direct impact on the well-being of others?  Join our Foot Care for the Souls program and help care for the most vulnerable in Greater Cincinnati. This unique program provides essential foot care, including cleaning, foot massages and distributing new socks and shoes, to individuals experiencing homelessness and marginalization - people who often spend long hours on their feet.

Why Volunteer?  As a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a healthcare setting while building personal connections with those who need special care. Foot health is critical for those facing housing insecurity, and your work will make a significant difference in their daily lives.

What You'll Do: 

Training and Support: You don't need prior medical experience - comprehensive training will be provided during your first sessions, ensuring you're comfortable and confident before caring for clients independently. An experienced nurse practitioner oversees the program and is available for support and additional guidance.
