We are looking for 18 tutors for our 18, Kindergarten – 4th grade students. Our sessions are once a week on Wednesdays from 3:20pm - 4:45pm. This opportunity provides 1.5 service hours each week.  Our tutors do not need prior tutoring experience.

Volunteer: Anthony Munoz Foundation Youth Leadership Seminar

Youth Leadership Seminar Overview:

This year we have the limited invites to 83 schools in the Tri-State to come hear motivational speakers, discuss service challenge projects focused on making an impact in their communities, and reflect on this year’s event theme.

What Will I Be Doing?

Volunteer roles range from registration, lunch distribution, to facilitating breakout sessions.

Breakout Session Leader: We are looking for Breakout session leaders will help facilitate a conversation with students and give them the platform to self-reflect, discuss meaningful issues with students from other schools, and put into place after-event action plans. Each facilitator will have a group of around 10 -15 students from multiple different schools. Our facilitators will help guide these sessions by connecting and engaging with the students, reflecting on what they have heard and learned, assisting in conversations, and guiding them through the session. Breakout session conversations will reflect in part on the talks given by one of our morning speakers.

When Do I Volunteer?

Wednesday, October 23rd, from 7:00 am – 2:00 pm (preferred)

Breakout Session Only: 9:00am – 1:00pm (limited)

A light breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided, and you will also receive an event t-shirt.

Where Does the Event Take Place?

Crossroads in Mason

990 Reading Road, Mason, OH 45040

Additional Event Details

This year, we will be assigning specific clean-up crews for the end of the day. We will keep the training videos for our breakout sessions but will work to simplify the content. We wish we could pair up each facilitator but the logistics behind registering up to 36 additional volunteers is tricky. We’d also love to stream those morning speakers for you, too. If we didn’t need the meeting ahead of time, we’d gladly let everyone sit in on the speakers. We will be sure to give you a more in-depth overview of their talk, though!

Register:

We would love to have you join us and help us make this event a hit! If you are interested in volunteering you can Register to Volunteer HERE.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all volunteers, and you will also receive an event t-shirt upon arrival.

As always, if you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me, at cjohnson@munozfoundation.org
