Volunteer: EWB Gikingo Committee ProjectThe Gikingo committee is one of 3 EWB-UC project committees working on creating water supply systems. Gikingo is a community in Rwanda, just north of Kigali, with a population of around 1000. Before this project, community members sourced water from an undeveloped spring and other unsafe sources. The community desires a system to provide clean and accessible water to improve member's health. Weekly committee meetings work on, planning trips, creating technical documentation, engineering system solutions, and many other critical tasks.
