The WWC has a number of beautiful wooded properties along the Ohio River, west of downtown.  One of our biggest tasks is removing invasive plants such as honeysuckle, so that native plants including wildflowers can return.  This is physical outside work, cutting honeysuckle, and putting the cut honeysuckle into large piles.  We regularly do this as members of the WWC, and several times a year we get help from UC students too!.  BUT WE NEED MORE HELP!  There are acres of gorgeous woods just waiting to be set free!

Work 10 am to 12:30 pm (work 2.5 hours get 4 hours credit)

We will work near our Kirby Preserve which is in Addyston, Ohio.  Go to the intersection of South Road and Gallia Drive, and go North on Gallia Drive about 200 feet.  We will be working alongside Gallia Drive.  If you go too far on Gallia and reach the houses (2725 Gallia Drive, for example), turn around go back toward the intersection of Gallia and South Rd.

First shift (10:30-12:00) : Meet us on Main Street outside Subway (reach out to us for detailed instructions if you don't know where that is!) and help us set up the pop-up. We'll drive up near Subway on Main Street with a U-Haul with our supplies and clothes and volunteers will help us unload, hang and arrange the clothes on racks outside. Disclaimer: sometimes we are running behind and we'll arrive later than 10:30 at the meeting spot. Please wait till 11am if you don't see any UC Thrift Exec and text our club Group Me for details or reach out to co-president Harrison (419-277-2423) or Zuzanna (630-915-7648).

Second shift (12:00-2:00) : Meet on Main Street nearish Subway (you will see our racks set up, meet us there!). Help us run the pop-up by hanging clothes, organizing our stock, and other small tasks.

Third Shift (2:00-5:00) : Meet on Main Street nearish Subway (you will see our racks set up, meet us there!). Help us organize, fold, and pack up the clothing. The pop-up ends at 4:00 and then we will pack our stock into the U-Haul.

Super Fun Bonus Shift (4:00-6:30 ***will be worth 4 off-campus volunteers hours): We will need multiple volunteers to stay over till 6:30pm to go off campus and unload the U-Haul at our storage unit. CAR IS REQUIRED! Only one person fits in the U-Haul but we need at least two others to drive separately with us to the storage unit, unload the clothes, and whoever is in the U-Haul can go with driver to return it for extra hours.

This event is hosted by 3CDC at Ziegler Park in downtown Cincinnati, and is geared toward teens 13-17. At this event, teens will create simple recipes, a sewing project, an art project and custom canvas bags. Volunteers will be needed to assist teens at each activation. Dinner will be provided and free parking is available at the Ziegler Park Garage directly across the street from the park. 

This is a monthly cookout hosted by 3CDC held in Imagination Alley- a pocket park on Vine St. in OTR. Volunteers will be needed to serve food and help with event logistics. Free parking in the Mercer Garage across the street.

This is one of two community events we host annually for early childhood educators and foster/adoptive/kinship care families. Volunteers help staff activity tables set up throughout the zoo and lead fun activities.

Guests who arrive usually have cleaned clothes that they have previously left to be laundered. Once clean, we store a guests bag until they return. We are looking for individuals interested in assisting the process of going-for (go-pher this or go-pher that) guest bags, searching for shoes, helping to restock clothing that is provided to new guests and bringing the freshly laundered clothes downstairs to the front desk for distribution. If working in a non-profit and directly helping those in our community sounds like your thing, come give us a hand:)

*Note: this position requires minor lifting and walking with stairs involved. Those who cannot easily navigate both conditions may find this to be a difficult task and may want to look at a different opportunity offered by MMH

Join CURESZ for a mental health break afternoon of painting handheld potted plants. Receive a community service hour for helping the environment and offering your creativity! If able, please bring supplies like paint, stickers, or decorative rocks.

Come experience the spiritual joy of getting your hands deep into the dirt. We will be planting and mulching around the perimeter of the garden, planting pots interspersed around the garden, weeding and creating the last leg of our brick pathway and weeding anywhere needed. We will send you home with plants and lettuce for your salad.

Each week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, we offer a volunteer opportunities for students to clean up the Corryville neighborhood. Lots of trash is collected during these events, which is amazing! The downside of that is the fact that the buckets we use can get pretty dirty over the many weeks.

We are offering an opportunity to gain hours to help clean these buckets out. To continue this opportunity, we need to polish up our buckets so they can be ready for next year. 

Your volunteer hours for this opportunity will be determined on the amount of time you spend checked-in, the event will go from 11am - 2pm.

Please arrive at 2728 Short Vine St. at 11am.

Your check-in location will be around back--if you walk around the building (down E. Daniels St.) like you're entering through a back door, you will see a parking lot. We will be meeting in that back parking lot of the building. A member of our team will be circling around the property to make sure no volunteers are lost.

Bi-Okoto Drum & Dance Theatre invites University of Cincinnati staff and faculty to participate in a hands-on Community Service Day focused on beautification, organization, and support of our cultural arts space.

Volunteers will assist with indoor and outdoor projects including painting, general cleaning, organizing program materials, and basic data collection to help strengthen our operations. Activities may include preparing spaces for youth programs, refreshing learning environments, maintaining outdoor areas, and supporting administrative organization.

The senior class of DAAP needs your help! We are looking for room monitors for our senior showcase. Volunteers will sit in DAAP rooms 6450, 5221, 5235, and keep watch over our projects while the show is open. The show will be running April 27th- May 2nd, and we will have 90-minute shifts from 9 am-9 pm (Mon-Fri) and 9 am-12 pm on Saturdays only. Cincinnatus and Honors College service hours are available for all shifts worked. UC OXE (The UC student chapter for the National Honors Society of Chemical Engineers) is accepting donations for our bake sale. Proceeds from the bake sale will be used to host OXE events through the academic year. Donations should be homemade baked good items in a quantity of at least one dozen. Every dozen baked goods (not store bought) that are donated will attribute to one hour of service with a maximum of 2 hours of service attainable. Donations should be dropped off in Mantei Room 605 between April 13th-16th. Donations dropped off after the 16th and are store bought will not count towards hours. The room has a keypad, in order to drop off items enter code 1436* on the keypad and drop off items on the table immediately inside the door and sign your name and amount dropped off on the sheet. P+ is a summer program that combines research with outreach. 

The research in P+ is about the learning motivation of children living in poverty.

The outreach in P+ is about helping children practice math. We focus specifically on young children who face homelessness. Our goal is to help them practice math effectively.

Depending on your schedule and interests, there are four volunteer positions to choose from: 

Facilitator: this is for those interested in the hands-on experience working with children

Research Assistant: this is for those interested in research (but will not be working with children). 

Group leader: this is a step up for those interested in working with children.

Research Coordinator: this is for those who would like to combine research with hands-on experiences working with children.

Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio invites you to become a volunteer at Camp MEE 2026. Camp Movement, Enrichment, Empowerment (MEE), is a health and wellness summer day camp for youth of all genders, ages 11-14. We cover fundamental topics like boundaries and consent, social media safety, mental health and mindfulness, financial literacy, puberty, nutrition, healthy relationships, and more in a fun, inclusive, and engaging way. 

We are seeking volunteers for our Cincinnati and Dayton day camps. This is a great opportunity for those interested in education, public health, social work, or advocacy to gain up to 40 hours of experience while making a lasting impact. Whether you're leading a group game, assisting with activities, or simply being a supportive presence, your time and energy will help create an unforgettable experience for campers.

Meet in the grassy area of University Circle adjacent to the Teachers-Dyer Complex (see below), where we'll plant several natives and nativars including Red Oak, Bigleaf Magnolia, and a few Espresso Coffeetrees.

Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes and clothes they're fine getting dirty. Breakfast, water, gloves, tools, and guidance will all be provided!

Join the Criminal Justice Society for a community service event where we will be making handmade cards for women served by HER Cincinnati, a local nonprofit that provides housing, trauma-informed care, and supportive services to women experiencing homelessness, addiction, and mental health challenges. During this event, members will create encouraging and uplifting cards that will be included in care packages for the women at HER Cincinnati. These cards are a simple but meaningful way to remind someone that they are supported, valued, and not alone during a difficult time. All materials will be provided, and no artistic experience is needed. This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow members while giving back to the Cincinnati community in a thoughtful and personal way. Come help us spread encouragement and support through creativity and kindness.

Madi’s House is refreshing our outdoor space, and we’re inviting volunteers to help transform our storage shed with a bold, camo‑inspired design that reflects our brand identity. Volunteers will paint the camo pattern using guided outlines.

treating neighbors in need with dignity and compassion.

St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati seeks a motivated and creative Digital Marketing and
Engagement Intern to support the work of our Office of Mission Advancement this summer.
This volunteer position will provide hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing and

Help a school garden put the finishing touches on garden beds. We will be assembling "low tunnels", building hoops that hold covers to protect crops from bad weather. No skills or knowledge necessary, we'll show you what to do. You may get to use a power drill! ur goal is to cleanup along the entire bike trail from st Rt 747 in West Chester, through Ellis Lake Wetlands, to the end point of the trail at the far side of Gilmore Metropark.

Even with surrounding development, Ellis Lake Wetland has become an important birding area. However, due to storm-water runoff and recreational use of the bike trail, a lot of trash has been collecting in this area. We will have grabbers, bags, and gloves available for volunteers to use while they help to clean this habitat for the wildlife.

Location: Firebird Drive, West Chester. This is between St Rt 747 and Seward Road.

Age range: Suitable for all ages. Ages 14 and under must have an adult with them.

What to bring: It may be muddy, so please wear old clothing. If you are willing to get in the creek or wetland, please wear rubber boots or wadders. If you have work gloves, please bring them. We will have gloves to borrow.

Our mentoring program pairs caring adults in the community with middle school students for one-on-one support, encouragement, and connection. Help us plant beds along Vine St and 13th St to beautify Over-The-Rhine! Volunteers will work with 3CDC and Over-The-Rhine Community Housing (OTRCH) to freshen up some landscape beds in high traffic areas of OTR. We'll be weeding, planting, and mulching to create a more pleasant experience for passersby! 3CDC partners with organizations like OTRCH throughout Cincinnati's urban core to create safe, clean & beautiful public spaces for Cincinnatians and visitors to enjoy.

Several opportunities will be available on this date such as repair and building fencing, painting fences, yard work such as mowing, weeding, trimming etc.  Cleaning-dusting arena and stall areas, wiping down surfaces.  

Pick up a shift at UC's ADAAPT Innovation Studio, Saturday or Sunday, all year long!

Represent UC at the DAAP Student Retail Space outside of Findlay Market, where you will help merchandise, network with guests and direct them to individual makers' sales info.  This storefront is dedicated to prototypes or personal lines of various material and methodologies: ceramics, 3D printed work, glass, jewelry, screen printed, etc. Some products come from the industrial design course: Home Grown studio with professor Doehler, and some are from individual brand pop ups. Current students, faculty and alumni are all able to showcase their pieces here and represent the vast network of talented and creative individuals associated with DAAP! Upon registration, Gabi Ragusa (site supervisor) will reach out to confirm your preferred dates and timeframe. 

Sometimes shifts are associated with specific, ongoing events! You will receive a packet of instructions and contact information in advance, if this is the case. 

First Aid Volunteers are CPR/First Aid certified individuals and do not have to be licensed medical professionals (EMT, EMS, RN, etc.) but they can be, when available. They administer First-Aid to event participants. The support locations can include start/finish, and along the route.

Using personal photography equipment (can be a cell phone), capture event including team photos, start & finish line photos, sponsors, route photos, & festival area photos. Volunteer Photographers are expected to share full rights to digital media with the MS Society in-kind within 2 weeks of the event taking place.  Does not need to be a professional photographer. Shot lists will be shared.

Unloading trucks and distributing supplies, setting up tents, tables, and chairs,  hanging banners and signage, decorating tents and tables (heavy lifting required ≤50lbs)

Ghar Ghar Langar Sewa (GGLS) delivers free meals every day to homeless and vulnerable families in India. We started during COVID and never stopped. So far we have given out over 686,000 food packets and 2,500 ration kits. We also help during floods and run community care centers.
