outdoor event to connect community with Art Museum

Join us for typical gardening activities like weeding and planting, and possibly assembling garden equipment. 

Heavy lifting and other physical exertions are guaranteed to occur during this volunteer opportunity.

You will be helping the Bearcats Pantry offload our food bank delivery.

Dress appropriately. Comfortable shoes and athletic wear encouraged. This will be partially outside, so account for the weather in your attire.

Come get your hands dirty with us for a fun, feel-good planting day! We’ll be filling our raised beds with a colorful mix of vegetables, native plants, and pollinator favorites to help our garden (and local wildlife) thrive. After we plant, we’ll team up to build insect netting and shade hoops to protect our beds and keep everything growing strong. Bring your energy, your curiosity, and clothes you don’t mind getting a little muddy—no experience needed!

Join us for one of our favorite neighborhood traditions—The Longest Table, a neighborhood potluck that brings Lower Price Hill neighbors together for a shared meal. We’re looking for a small group of volunteers to help serve dinner along the buffet line. You’ll greet neighbors, help plate food, and keep the line moving so everyone can enjoy the evening. It’s a fast-paced, team-oriented role with lots of interaction and a chance to be part of a joyful community gathering.

The Academy of World Languages is proud to host our annual International Festival on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 10 AM - 1 PM. Our International Festival celebrates our world language program and students’ cultural heritage. We enroll pre K - 8th grade students city-wide, from over 40 different countries in our World Language and English for Speakers of Other Languages Program (ESOL). Our International Festival showcases our students demonstrating their acquired language abilities in Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian and ESOL plus food, basket raffles, games and performances from around the world.

We need volunteers to help serve food and run games.

2 shifts available:

We have field day most of the day with different activities going on throughout the day. We are outside on the playground and the gym (bouncy house) We have music and grill out for the students. We have staff helping but they take their breaks, so we rotate the activities. We will begin at 10am and end at 12:30pm.

Join the Grail for our monthly volunteer days to remove invasive plants so our beneficial native plants and wildlife can flourish. By volunteering, you’ll not only contribute to the health of our ecosystem but also enhance the beauty of over 70 acres of land enjoyed by visitors and hikers.

These volunteer days are held on the second Saturdays of each month from 9 am to 12 pm at The Grail’s Headquarters, Grailville, 931 O'Bannonville Rd, Loveland, OH 45140. Volunteers will use loppers, hand saws, and chainsaws (for those who are comfortable with them) to cut down and cut up invasive honeysuckle and Callery Pear from the property as well as pull out other invasive plants. Like to cook? Many of our programs would love to be a recipient of your meals. Cook at your home, by yourself or with a group and drop it off at one of our locations. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner slots are available. What an easy way to help our youth while doing something you enjoy!

Help Lighthouse collect various items for children, youth and families in need such as: school supplies, cleaning supplies, linens, kitchen items, baby items, bottled water, hygiene supplies and blankets. We are always in need of items to help our children and families. This is a great volunteer opportunity for churches, schools, and offices. More detailed lists can be provided if you're interested in hosting a donation drive.

We have been working on clearing the bank of the western fork of the Mill Creek since late last year. We are going to continue to pull out invasive species and plant native, creek-loving, pollinator-friendly trees and perennials.  It's going to be a work day. We will have gloves and shovels. You need to bring your sturdy shoes and clothes that can get muddy.

Afterward, we will supply lunch. 

The work day ranges from about 11:30 to 1:30 PM.

Circle K officer retreat for SPot Training 

Art Classroom Aide: You can choose when you volunteer between 9:10am-3:55pm, you can come when it first your schedule, NO NEED FOR REAPPROVAL OF HOURS. 

Volunteers for this position will be doing various prep for art projects or post-project material organization, i.e. exacto knife cut outs, hot gluing, prepping materials, making name tags, hanging artwork, material clean up/sorting etc. Volunteers can sign up for the time that works best for their schedule between the hours of 9:10am-3:55pm. Volunteers should report to the main office of Fairview-Clifton German Language School and will be directed to the Art room (rm. 1212). We are excited to host our upcoming Field Day at Parker Woods Montessori Elementary and are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make the day a success!

Volunteers will play an important role in supporting the event by running activity stations that students will rotate through throughout the morning. Your energy and engagement will help create a fun, safe, and memorable experience for all of our students.

As a thank you for your time, volunteers will be provided with a lunch break, with food generously provided by our PTO.

Do you have an interest in board games?

We host a series of game nights every other Wednesday at the Krohn Conservatory from 6pm-8:30pm. The games typically have a botanical theme or are associated with the current floral show design. Up to 24 guests can join the games per event (6 tables of 4 players).

We need four volunteers to learn the games and work as proctors for each event. Each proctor will guide a table of up to four players in the rules of the selected game.

Join the MCA A-Team from 10AM-1PM for our June Workparty at Mill Creek Greenway Trail in Camp Washington. We will work to remove pesky invasive plants, pick up trash, and spread seed.

What to wear: Wear weather appropriate clothing (layers are always a good idea). Long sleeves, long pants, and closed toed shoes are highly recommended to avoid cuts and scratches, sunburn, and possible exposure to poison ivy.

What to bring: Bring your own sunscreen, bug spray and reusable water bottle. Volunteers are welcome to bring any personal labeled tools/supplies or snacks, but Mill Creek Alliance will provide enough tools/supplies/snacks for all volunteers including safety glasses, gloves, loppers, etc.!

We need a couple people to provide babysitting in a childcare room during out concert.  The parents would be on-site.

This is a monthly cookout hosted by 3CDC held in Imagination Alley- a pocket park on Vine St. in OTR. Volunteers will be needed to serve food and help with event logistics. Free parking in the Mercer Garage across the street.

This is one of two community events we host annually for early childhood educators and foster/adoptive/kinship care families. Volunteers help staff activity tables set up throughout the zoo and lead fun activities.

The senior class of DAAP needs your help! We are looking for room monitors for our senior showcase. Volunteers will sit in DAAP rooms 6450, 5221, 5235, and keep watch over our projects while the show is open. The show will be running April 27th- May 2nd, and we will have 90-minute shifts from 9 am-9 pm (Mon-Fri) and 9 am-12 pm on Saturdays only. P+ is a summer program that combines research with outreach. 

The research in P+ is about the learning motivation of children living in poverty.

The outreach in P+ is about helping children practice math. We focus specifically on young children who face homelessness. Our goal is to help them practice math effectively.

Depending on your schedule and interests, there are four volunteer positions to choose from: 

Facilitator: this is for those interested in the hands-on experience working with children

Research Assistant: this is for those interested in research (but will not be working with children). 

Group leader: this is a step up for those interested in working with children.

Research Coordinator: this is for those who would like to combine research with hands-on experiences working with children.

Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio invites you to become a volunteer at Camp MEE 2026. Camp Movement, Enrichment, Empowerment (MEE), is a health and wellness summer day camp for youth of all genders, ages 11-14. We cover fundamental topics like boundaries and consent, social media safety, mental health and mindfulness, financial literacy, puberty, nutrition, healthy relationships, and more in a fun, inclusive, and engaging way. 

We are seeking volunteers for our Cincinnati and Dayton day camps. This is a great opportunity for those interested in education, public health, social work, or advocacy to gain up to 40 hours of experience while making a lasting impact. Whether you're leading a group game, assisting with activities, or simply being a supportive presence, your time and energy will help create an unforgettable experience for campers.

Madi’s House is refreshing our outdoor space, and we’re inviting volunteers to help transform our storage shed with a bold, camo‑inspired design that reflects our brand identity. Volunteers will paint the camo pattern using guided outlines.

Our mentoring program pairs caring adults in the community with middle school students for one-on-one support, encouragement, and connection. Help us plant beds along Vine St and 13th St to beautify Over-The-Rhine! Volunteers will work with 3CDC and Over-The-Rhine Community Housing (OTRCH) to freshen up some landscape beds in high traffic areas of OTR. We'll be weeding, planting, and mulching to create a more pleasant experience for passersby! 3CDC partners with organizations like OTRCH throughout Cincinnati's urban core to create safe, clean & beautiful public spaces for Cincinnatians and visitors to enjoy.

Several opportunities will be available on this date such as repair and building fencing, painting fences, yard work such as mowing, weeding, trimming etc.  Cleaning-dusting arena and stall areas, wiping down surfaces.  

Pick up a shift at UC's ADAAPT Innovation Studio, Saturday or Sunday, all year long!

Represent UC at the DAAP Student Retail Space outside of Findlay Market, where you will help merchandise, network with guests and direct them to individual makers' sales info.  This storefront is dedicated to prototypes or personal lines of various material and methodologies: ceramics, 3D printed work, glass, jewelry, screen printed, etc. Some products come from the industrial design course: Home Grown studio with professor Doehler, and some are from individual brand pop ups. Current students, faculty and alumni are all able to showcase their pieces here and represent the vast network of talented and creative individuals associated with DAAP! Upon registration, Gabi Ragusa (site supervisor) will reach out to confirm your preferred dates and timeframe.

Planning & execution for VCIC regional compeititon host university

Join the Grail to remove invasive plants so our beneficial native plants and wildlife can flourish. By volunteering with us, you’ll not only contribute to the health of our ecosystem but also enhance the beauty of over 70 acres of land enjoyed by visitors and hikers.

The group will take a short hike to our work site then learn to identify different species of plants. We’ll pull invasive plants such as garlic mustard and wintercreeper and use loppers and hand saws to cut down honeysuckle.

Tools and work gloves will be provided.

Join us for the 2nd Annual River Clean-Up at Lost Bridge in North Bend! In partnership with Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission (ORSANCO), Edible Ohio Valley Schoolhouse is bringing together volunteers to help protect and restore one of our region’s most vital natural resources.

Participants will work to remove litter and debris from the riverbank, helping improve water quality and protect local ecosystems. This hands-on service project is a meaningful way to make an immediate impact while connecting with others who care about environmental stewardship.

At Edible, we believe that a thriving local food system depends on clean air, healthy soil, and—critically—clean water. Supporting efforts like this river clean-up is essential to ensuring that our farms, foodways, and communities can flourish for generations to come.

Spend a day on the farm! After meeting our animals and taking a tour of the work we do in the world volunteers will help us:

1) Move some neglected planting beds to border our boardwalk, so folks with accessibility issues will have easier access to harvesting strawberries, nasturtiums, and other edibles. Once these boxes have been. moved, we will fill them with soil and plant them with flowers and edibles. 

2) Finish the blackberry arbor which will not only train our blackberry vines to climb, but also create a shady sit spot in the garden for visitors. 

3) Remove invasive bindweed and replace it with clover, a low-growing pollinator that adds nitrogen to the soil, improving soil health, and feeds the bees all summer. 

4) Deconstruct a rock wall and move these materials for use in a later project. 

5) Move and process large wood donations to create firewood, hugelkulture beds, and other projects.

We will be cleaning up our garden in anticipation for the growing season. Tasks include picking up trash, spreading mulch, pulling weeds and clearing debris. St. Vincent de Paul Northern Kentucky's thrift stores, through sales of donated items, generate 70% of the funding for our assistance programs. As a thrift store, the more stock and variety we have on the sales floor, the more sales we will have and more funding that is generated to help our neighbors in need. UC Serves volunteers will assist primarily in retail production - tagging and hanging donated clothing (each Z-rack = $500 of potential revenue) and/or pairing donated shoes (each bin of shoes = $600 of potential revenue). Work may also include running racks of product out to the sales floor and making it available for sale, or organization/color blocking of clothing on the sales floor to create a better shopping experience for our customers.

Carpooling recommended. Park as far back as possible in lot to avoid being blocked in by customers. Bathrooms available on site.

Come help us spruce up our playground! Some tasks include mulching, staining/painting equipment, carrying sand, and washing materials. 

Please join us as we start a community garden! Volunteers are needed in four areas:

St. Vincent de Paul Northern Kentucky's two choice pantries serve over 500 families (over 1600 neighbors) a month. Donation drives slow down during the summer months, but one last spring drive helps us get through - Stamp Out Hunger with our local postal letter carriers. This year's event takes place the week before UC Serves. Volunteers will sort through food donations from this event, which will later stock the two choice pantries. If volunteers get through all donations and time remains, they will then assist with some cleaning activities within one of the choice pantries. All work is inside.

Carpooling is recommended. Park as far back into the lot as possible to avoid getting blocked in by customers.

On-site bathrooms available. Items such as jackets and bags can be placed in our conference room/Advancement Office.

The 2026 Avenue Experience: College Hill Festival is taking place on Saturday, May 30th, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The day will kick off with a parade at 11:00 AM. The parade will stage at the Plaza, travel down Cedar Avenue to Cary, continue to Marlowe, and disperse at Patrick’s Park, where the main festival festivities will begin.

The Bearcats Pantry and Resource Center is hosting a community garden day! Help us weed beds, plant summer crops, and complete other necessary garden tasks that will help the garden feed the UC community! Tools will be provided butut bring your own gloves if you want to wear them.

Overview of BLOC Ministries/ Ola Immigrant Welcome Center

We are an urban faith-based ministry serving the needs of the Cincinnati area immigrant population. Our mission is to create prosperous communities where immigrants are welcomed, embraced, and empowered.

Join us for UC Serves at Ola Immigrant Welcome Center as we come together to care for our space and prepare for our upcoming community festival! Volunteers will help with weeding, spreading mulch, and improving curb appeal through general outdoor beautification. We’ll also be cleaning and organizing indoor spaces to get everything ready. It’s a great opportunity to make a tangible impact and serve alongside others as we prepare to welcome the community the following day.
