Work with a preschools students to assist with focus, remaining on task, and managing behaviors through out the day. Assist the classroom teachers with maintaining the routine by assisting students who may be struggling to stay focused.

Play Library is in need of a social media manager. This student will be given creative control regarding content that is posted. After gathering photos and videos, much of this work can be done from home! Facebook and Instagram are currently the only social media accounts, but the Play Library hopes to expand an online presence to both Twitter and TikTok and continue building a brand identity. 

Play Library hosts events internally and participates in events within the Cincinnati area. This individual will need to attend events on occasion to gather photographs and video to use in social media posts.

The position will become a service-based internship beginning in the fall semester (15 service hours/semester). This student may be asked to return in the fall based on performance. Here at Anointed Mission Cornerstone we are a non profit organization and we are striving to help women in the mental health community recover and overcome. We are looking for individuals who would be interested in helping us on our mission to make a difference. 

We are looking for women to help provide direct support care to the women in our homes through meal prep, assistance with medication and also some light cleaning. If you have a heart to give back to the community in this way we would like to hear from you!

TCB is seeking volunteers for our K-12th grade After-School tutoring sessions for the Avondale youth. High Achievers Aim High is a non-profit organization seeking assistance with our Summer Academic Enrichment Program. We are looking for After-School Leads and Tutors.

Our After School Academic Enrichment and Tutoring Program begins when the neighborhood schools start and lasts throughout the academic school year. This year we are set to open August 18. The program runs daily, Monday-Friday, 2:30-6:30pm. The programs then continue throughout school’s winter, spring, and summer breaks, opening daily from 8:00a-4:00pm, offering after care services until 6:00pm for families who need it. Our Summer Academic Enrichment Program is open every summer, for the past 5 years, for 10 weeks, while it is open for 2 weeks during winter break, and one week for spring break.

Tutors are expected to work closely with individual and small groups of students to improve their academic success, allowing students the opportunity to practice, review assignments and assessments to determine areas of need and/or strength, and helping the students review and preview schoolwork as necessary.  Tutors are expected to have a love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day. 

This need is for admins who have worked alongside the Enable Cincy exec board to achieve greater efficiency and internal strength of the organization. This can include individuals who have worked in finance, lab maintenance, and media. 

POSITION SUMMARY : Seeking a virtual volunteer(s) to assist the Executive Director and/or leadership team members, in brainstorming and creating designs for social media, workshops, special events, printed materials, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to speak, read, and write English well, including spelling and grammar. Knowledge of creating graphics efficiently in PowerPoint, Canva, Photoshop and/ or other similar tools is needed. Skills and talents, such as basic design/colors/font expertise, creativity, collaboration, teamwork, managing multiple mini-projects at a time, organization, reliability/dependability and flexibility are needed. Knowledge of Google Drive and video conference tools are a plus, but will train.

DUTIES:

- Work on various graphic concepts and types at a time, considering our social media calendar, upcoming events, printed material updates, etc.
- Create variations as necessary for different applications, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Eventbrite, and more
- Collaborate on concepts and create designs for review and approval
- Could include more creativity and thought leadership and some social media posting and other work, if desired

We have a bunch of new equipment that needs to be cleaned and sanitized as soon as possible.

Having moved into a brand new facility, there is plenty of room and need for building development and decor. We are seeking students who are interested in creating wall and window art throughout our facility, painting murals and creating professional signage. There is also an opportunity for outdoor mural painting in the front of our building. This is a great field experience and resume opportunity for students majoring in art.

We are looking for students to help us organize a few rooms/closets. Duties include but are not limited to; unpacking, organizing, decorating and help build items in our new facility.

The CAIN Choice Pantry offers nutritious food, hygiene items, diapers and cleaning supplies to families in need.  We serve close to 100 guests/families each day our Pantry is open, and nearly half of our Guests are Spanish speaking.  In order to ensure that all of our Guests are treated with respect and equality, we are looking for Volunteers who are fluent in Spanish and/or able to engage in conversational Spanish to assist guests shopping in our Pantry.  CAIN is committed to respecting the diversity of all of our families and guests, and we work hard to ensure that everyone is treated with dignity and with cultural considerations in mind.

Pyramid Hill is looking for long-term volunteer docents for its Ancient Sculpture Museum.

The Ancient Sculpture Museum is open 7 days a week, 12 - 5pm. This facility houses a collection of Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Etruscan and Syrian antiquities. Volunteer docents will be asked to monitor the collection, interact with guests and educate visitors about the collection and further Pyramid Hill's mission of "bringing people to art in nature." Volunteer docents will receive preliminary and continued training on the Pyramid Hill antiquities collection and how to enhance guest experiences at this facility.

Pyramid Hill is proud to offer community service opportunities to people of all backgrounds, abilities and interests. Volunteers who complete more than 10 hours of service will receive a FREE 1-year family membership.

Focus will be on invasive plant removal. Volunteers will use loppers and hand saws to cut back honeysuckle less than 3" diameter and break it down on site so that it will decompose. 

Volunteers should be prepared for the weather (lightweight clothing), wear long pants. Close-toed, sturdy shoes are required. Recommended: Work gloves (if you own them), sunscreen, refillable water bottle. There will be work gloves available to borrow and a water cooler will be provided on site for volunteers to refill bottles. Cincinnati Parks discourages single use plastics.

Support the restoration progress at California Woods Nature Preserve 

Join our team for one date or all of them. We will protect our beautiful native forest from invasive plants. In early Autumn we’ll pull and bag Japanese stilt grass and Japanese chaff flower. In late Autumn we’ll cut and stack bush honeysuckle and other woody invasives. This will be off-trail in wooded, hilly terrain.

Make sure to bring water and dress for the weather. Park staff will guide the group. Use our gloves or bring your own, remember to bring water, and dress for going off-trail. Open to adults and children ages 10 and up accompanied by an adult.

Welcome to Dater High School! We have a roughly 30% ESL/ELL student population with the majority speaking Spanish, followed by French and Arabic. Due to the pandemic, we are in need of tutoring supports to aid with present education gaps and learning losses. Supports needed are bilingual tutors, math, reading/ELA, and science specifically, but any and all tutoring supports for grades 7-12 are appreciated. Dater is one of the only two schools in the CPS district to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. Volunteer tutors can be virtual or onsite (Dater) but preferably in-person. 

Dater High School adheres to all CDC Covid guidelines, including wearing masks at all times.

From there, a member of our foster team will reach out to you to schedule your day trip. Any person recording hours for day trips MUST have an application in our system, My Impact. If you do not have an application or profile in our system your hours will be denied.  Only pre-approved fosters are allowed to take dogs on day trips; no walk-ins can be accommodated.

What is a Day Trip? A Daytrip is a chance to hang out with a dog for the day and give them some time away from the shelter.  You can bring the dog back to your apartment, go for a walk in the park, hang out at a brewery, etc.  NO DOG PARKS. And day-trip dogs CANNOT meet other animals.

With your feedback from our daytrip report card (required for service hours), you are helping us learn more about the dog, add new info to their profiles, and make them more adoptable! 

Recording Day Trip Hours:

For Day Trips, students will receive one hour for each hour they are out with the dog. Only ONE student will receive service hours for a Day Trip. 

On a mission to break the generational chains of poverty, addiction and oppression in our West Side Price Hill neighborhoods.

We are women who believe that people can change through relationship and love. Most importantly we believe in the power of Jesus to heal and make whole. In 2012, BLOC opened the first Weightless Anchor hospitality home in Lower Price Hill in urban Cincinnati to serve women on the streets who struggle with addiction and are victims of sex-trafficking by providing for their basic needs. In the fall of 2015 the second Weightless Anchor Hospitality home was opened in East Price Hill. These facilities offer rest, showers, hot meals, free clothes, and hygiene products, and most importantly, love without a cost.

BLOC Sports Performance provides area middle and high school athletes with professional-level sports performance training in a Gospel-centered environment. Our motto “Train. Heal. Grow.” With every athlete that enters our doors, we strive to train their bodies, to see healing in their souls and to see growth in their spirits.

Position Summary: The Volunteer will assist in all aspects of day to operations of BLOC Sports Performance. Once established, they will assist with running workouts. They will need to be able to operate daily in an environment that requires patience and adaptability.

Primary responsibilities:

Assist in implementing performance programs designed by the Director

Data tracking (attendance and performance)

Assist in set up and tear down before and after daily workouts

Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the facility and equipment

Use your own Power of Voice to share the stories of Harriet and her ongoing legacy. We will train you to be a docent, then you can decide on frequency. Shifts are typically 3-4 hours Thursday-Sunday. Free parking on site. You also have the opportunity to attend our lectures and discussion groups.

We would love to have volunteers assist us with planning and promoting our fundraiser in the months leading up to the event, and being on-site for our annual golf tournament, S3C Golf Classic.  The event will be held on May 10, 2025

As the weather gets nicer we have more and more miscellaneous outdoor work we could use volunteer help with! Activities could include weeding flower gardens, transplanting plants, hanging outdoor signs, sanding outdoor furniture and much more! Work will mostly be outdoors, but bathrooms and an indoor break area as well as water and snacks will be readily available. Most tasks could be completed in small groups in an afternoon or a few hours, and we have very flexible scheduling.

Help with cleaning dishes and enrichment items at the shelter.  This is an EXTREMELY helpful position since it's time consuming for the animal care staff to do this.  Taking on this task for them gives them more time to keep the kennels clean and socialize with the animals.

If all dishes are cleaned, there's is always a need for laundry to be done as well.  This may be on the dirtier side but we can offer gloves to volunteers.  This again greatly frees up the time of the animal care staff.

The Medical Symphony Orchestra (MSO) was formed in 2019 to bridge our love of music and medicine. We aim at connecting members with their musical passions and medical endeavors. As a service-based orchestra, we support health-related nonprofits, medical faculty, patients, senior citizens, and other students through group performances. Volunteer hours will be given for performances (virtual or in-person), group rehearsals, and editing/filming of performances.

The Nourishing Families program supports households that are experiencing financial hardship and food insecurity. We offer a Free Market where people can come shop for food they can use for the week. *We are expanding our Free Market hours, and could really use some extra volunteer support.

Nourishing Care ~ Volunteer SignUp

Tasks include sorting produce, receiving deliveries, dividing inventory, stocking shelves, and organizing fridges / freezers. Dress for the weather, you will be inside and outside.

When you arrive, pull all the way down the driveway to the back parking lot near the red barn. We will gather in the Well House (the little red building) for brief introductions and volunteer station orientation. We will have baked goods and hot chocolate ready for you.

Girls club consists of 8-12 girls, providing a safe and welcoming environment for afternoons after school, and offer various activities aimed to open the girls’ minds to the broader human experience.

As virtual mentors, each woman fills a vital role in the lives of participating girls. They serve as a positive role model and coach, promoting girls’ self-esteem and empowerment. They set the example of how to work on a team and help the girls learn to set goals and work toward accomplishing them. They show the ability to empathize with another person’s struggles, to persevere when things don’t go as planned, and to see opportunities, implement solutions, and overcome barriers through creative activities and discussions.

CYC Virtual Girls Club volunteers set the example for the kind of women we want the girls to become: confident, committed, compassionate, and able to work in harmony on a racially, economically, and generationally diverse team.

In 2020, the CURESZ Foundation is beginning a new club on the UC campus which will probably be called CURESZ on Campus.

CURESZ is looking for volunteers to contribute their time initiating and growing this club. We hope it will have a big presence on the UC campus with many devoted members.

Opportunity Description: 

Turn your love of dogs into action by helping care for our shelter dogs! The dogs at the Hamilton County animal shelter, Cincinnati Animal CARE, need daily outings, and they LOVE walks! Dog Walking Volunteers will assist the Animal Care Team by providing our adoptable dogs with enriching walks.

The Grail has several established flower and food beds--including a butterfly garden we plan to expand--across the property. Maintaining them does NOT require a Master Gardener certification, or even a "green thumb" just a desire to "dig in the dirt" and encourage beautiful things to grow. Weeding is the majority of the assignment time, but would include thinning, transplanting, and pruning. SOME over winter work needs to be done to prep spaces for growing season. Flexible scheduling available. Perfect for families!

The Grail welcomes the public to utilize our trails free of charge, year round, during the daylight hours. We believe the first step in caring for nature is to learn to love it, and  to start by being out in it. During the early summer it is difficult to maintain a portion of the trails with a tractor, so we rely on volunteers to use weeders to ensure it is passable. This is best done by a team of 2 for a 4 hour block of time. This is not a difficult task, but is perfect for those who prefer to not volunteer in a group or to have interaction with the public.

We need UC students to tutor youth in grades K thru 12 in all subjects and in Spanish, French and Latin.  As in previous years, our goal is to have one on one tutoring (every child have their own tutor) so that an exciting learning relationship will be established.  Our tutoring program is one of the best and we also offer pick up and drop off transportation leaving from Turner Circle if needed.  There is also plenty of parking at the church for tutors that drive.

Mentor Description: A Mentor is a caring, responsible, adult volunteer who serves as a trusted friend and guide to youth by developing a supportive relationship with them. S/he helps to ensure that the mentee develops important academic and life skills, is exposed to new opportunities and a wide array of resources, and makes positive life choices.

Requirements:

Have earned a high school diploma;

Submit an application and 2 forms of reference;

Pass a criminal background check;

Successfully complete an interview for a mentor position;

Sincere desire to be personally involved with another person to help him or her achieve personal and career goals; and

Must have a vehicle

Are you looking for a flexible volunteer opportunity?  Do you want to make a difference in your community and in the lives of cancer patients who may not be able to get to treatment because they do not have transportation.  Then consider the American Cancer Society's Road to Recovery program.   

Transportation can be one of a cancer patient’s biggest roadblocks to treatment. That’s why the American Cancer Society Road To Recovery program provides patients in need with free rides to treatment.

For those who cannot drive themselves or have no other means of getting to cancer-related medical appointments, volunteers donate their time to give patients a much-needed ride.

Right now, one of the biggest barriers to cancer care is transportation. Because, even the best treatment can’t work if a patient can’t get there.

Family and friends may help, but over the course of several months, they may not always have the time or resources to provide every ride.

That’s why a successful transportation assistance program can be a tremendous asset to the community, and an inspiration to a volunteer. Our volunteers have provided hundreds of thousands of rides for patients, but the need for drivers continues to accelerate.

How it works
To ensure quality drivers, the American Cancer Society screens every volunteer. They must also complete online training courses to prepare them for their new role.

Drivers are able to specify their preferences and can accept ride opportunities that fit in their schedule.

Our Seniors are interested in crafts, bingo, health care issues and conditions, music, wellness activities, food and fun things going on. They also enjoy giving back and would volunteer if conditions meet the criteria.

Senators Mentoring Program is an in-school initiative of GRAD Cincinnati at Taft IT High School. We aim to motivate, inspire and encourage junior high students (7th and 8th grade students) to excel academically, socially and professionally. The program provides various activities on campus and within the community to encourage healthy decision making and positive habits that leads towards success.

MYCincinnati is a free after school music program for youth in Price Hill. Volunteers who come to our program usually have some knowledge of violin, viola, cello, bass, flute, clarinet, oboe, and percussion. Volunteers can give private lessons or help out in group rehearsals. A regular volunteer time is encouraged, but not required.

At Heartland Hospice, we consider our involvement with each patient a sacred opportunity and a privilege to be in their lives. We depend on our hospice volunteers to help us provide the love, respect and care our patients and their families need. Volunteer with us for the experience in the Healthcare field and learn from us to help you with your future.

FHIHN's Pet Support Program shelters dogs, cats, and other pets whose owners are in homeless shelters, hospitals, and rehab programs in the Greater Cincinnati Area. Because shelters generally don't allow animals, we're preventing pets from being surrendered to animal shelters, allowing families to get the help they need, and keeping the entire family together.

We are in need of volunteers to take care of these animals. Our average capacity is around 25 animals. Responsibilities would include:

- Ensuring animals have food and clean water

- Cleaning litter boxes and outdoor dog area

- Spending time/playing with animals for exercise and social well-being

- Dog walking

- Cleaning dog/cat kennels 

 - Doing laundry

- Communicating with Pet Support Staff about any problems or issues

Shifts are 2 hours and the need varies. Our organization has an ongoing need for volunteers, so we ask volunteers to commit to a weekly shift and to complete a minimum of 20 hours of service. Shifts can be covered if sick or out of town.

 Volunteers perform a variety of activities in the Processing Center, mostly of a non-stressful physical nature.  Volunteers would be helping to evaluate, sort and process various supplies, participating in activities such as:

There are family-friendly volunteer stations as well as stations to accommodate various special needs.  Volunteers should wear comfortable, close-toed shoes, clothes they don’t mind getting dirty and would not be devastated if they got a small tear or spot.  Layering is recommended in the colder months.
