Volunteer Opportunities working with individuals with Down syndrome.  Our iCan Bike Camp will be held July 6-10, 2026 at Harrison High School in Cincinnati.  iCan Bike Camp uses adapted bicycles, a specialized instructional program and trained staff to enable individuals with disabilities to learn to ride a two-wheel bicycle. Riders attend one 75 minute session each day for five consecutive days where they learn to ride while accompanied and encouraged by volunteer “spotters”. Over the course of the week, we continually adjust the bikes in an effort to challenge riders balance as they gradually discover the skill and joy of riding.

CHA will be hosting a Field Day at school on May 15 to promote physical activity, teamwork, & fun school spirit through engaging games, relays, & outdoor activities. Volunteers will be assisting with various outdoor activities & games.

Repair Affair is one of PWC's annual volunteer events. Form a small group of volunteers with home repair skills and make a concrete difference in the lives of our low-income neighbors by: Installing handrails, repairing drywall, fixing leaky plumbing, repairing damaged walkways and steps, performing other home maintenance for our clients

The ArtWalk is an opportunity for the resident artists of the Essex to open their studios and invite the public to see their process and sell their creations. Guest Artists are also invited to purchase table/wall space and sell their work. Each ArtWalk features a theme to inspire both resident and guest artists to create new work or share something older either in their own spaces or as part of the ArtWalk People's Choice Art Contest. This contest is open to the volunteers as well and will be judged by the ArtWalk visitors. All media types are accepted and must be turned in by Thursday May 7th, 6:00pm. Volunteers are needed for 

Saturday Hoops is a free group mentoring program of Cincinnati Youth Collaborative that strives to make a safe space for kids (ages 3-18) on Saturdays for them to learn new things, meet new friends, and develop skills that will help them become future leaders. We create this opportunity by providing food (breakfast and lunch) and doing activities such as basketball, soccer, arts and crafts, reading, yoga, football, workouts, and so much more. We also establish this safe space by having our volunteers promote a positive environment and demonstrating our core themes to students (Cheerful Giver, Hard Worker, Overcomer, and Good Steward). Join us in connecting with kids every Saturday from 9:30 am to 12:30 at one of our locations (Avondale, West End, Winton Hills, and at Zielger Park during the Summer). 

Join us for a hands-on MEDLIFE Volunteer Event in Lindner 3230 to make cards for the communities we serve! These cards aren’t just for fun, they are resources used to engage children, and provide comfort in an accessible way. Your contribution helps provide a more compassionate and holistic care experience for patients and their families. Come earn volunteer hours, meet fellow members, and make a tangible impact right from campus!

Skip the gym to help carry food instead! On Wednesday morning, the Freestore Foodbank delivers most of our food for the week. This shift's volunteers help bring cases on pallets outside the pantry space to inside the building. The pantry manager helps with the moving and determining the organization of cases of food inside. This is a physically intensive shift requiring ability to lift at least 20 pounds. Dress for the weather.

There are two events coming up at Fairview, our annual carnival (March) and our annual arts night (April). Volunteers for this position will be doing various prep for our carnival and arts night, i.e. exacto knife cut outs, hot gluing, prepping materials, making name tags, hanging artwork, material clean up/sorting etc. Volunteers can sign up for the time that works best for their schedule between the hours of 9:10am-3:55pm. Help us bring community stories to life through a podcast! We are seeking a creative and motivated volunteer to assist with the development, recording, and production of a podcast that highlights impactful organizations, community leaders, and social justice efforts. This role is perfect for someone interested in storytelling, media, communications, or nonprofit work.

Volunteers will collaborate with staff to brainstorm episode ideas, support interviews, edit audio, and help shape engaging podcast content. No prior podcast experience is required, just enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Pick up a shift at UC's ADAAPT Innovation Studio, Friday, Saturday or Sunday, all year long!

Represent UC at the DAAP Student Retail Space outside of Findlay Market, where you will help merchandise, network with guests and direct them to individual makers' sales info. 

This storefront is dedicated to prototypes or personal lines of various material and methodologies: ceramics, 3D printed work, glass, jewelry, screen printed, etc. Some products come from the industrial design course: Home Grown studio with professor Doehler, and some are from individual brand pop ups. Current students, faculty and alumni are all able to showcase their pieces here and represent the vast network of talented and creative individuals associated with DAAP!

Upon registration, Gabi Ragusa (site supervisor) will reach out to confirm your preferred dates and timeframe.

 Make your way to 2728 Short Vine St., and we'll get you sorted with your materials! Feel free to arrive any time between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm. The opportunity runs until 6:00 pm, but all supplies will need to be checked in before then.    

At check-in, you will be provided with one bucket that has a variety of cut-up fabric inside it. You will then take that bucket and walk approximately one block South. You'll see the fence mural in progress on the right side of the street.     

Start tying your fabric on the fence! There is black fabric that outlines the phrase "CATS!" down the center, but non-black fabric can go anywhere else. 

One bucket worth of fabric is equivalent to one volunteer hour.    

After you finish tying up your whole bucket, please return it and any other borrowed materials to 2728 Short Vine St..We will collect all supplies and get you checked out!

UC Bookcats is hosting a service event where you can earn volunteer hours for donating books! You can earn up to 6 hours: regular books and textbooks are worth 2 hours, and children's books are worth 1 hour. You can drop them off anytime between 2 - 4 PM in Arts & Sciences Room 26. Books will be donated to local libraries in our community!

Spread kindness and positivity to various students in your community!

Join us at 2728 Short Vine St., to create encouragement cards to support CPS students and peers from UC. Volunteers will create handmade encouragement cards with uplifting messages that will later be donated to local CPS schools. No prior experience is required, just a good attitude and a mindset of making creative, crafty cards.

Volunteers may arrive anywhere between 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM so they have enough time to make cards. The event runs till 6:00 PM, so all supplies must be returned before 6:00 PM.

Volunteer hours will be based on the check-in and check-out times. Specific requirements necessary for cards to be counted as eligible for hours will be discussed at the time of the event.

us for a morning of nature hiking and conservation biology at the Edge of Appalachia Preserve in Brown County on Saturday, April 11.  We will tour the working research lab, trail hike, and assist in land management.

Remember a lunch or snack, water bottle, and sunglasses.

The Edge of Appalachia is about a 90 minute drive from Clifton campus and city of Cincinnati.

Join the MCA A-Team from 10AM-1PM for a workparty removing invasives such as honeysuckle along the streambank of northern Salway Park. Along with invasive plant removal, we will also pick up trash, plant trees, and spread native seed!

What to wear: Wear weather appropriate clothing (layers are always a good idea). Long sleeves, long pants, and closed toed shoes are highly recommended to avoid cuts and scratches, sunburn, and possible exposure to poison ivy.

What to bring: Bring your own sunscreen, bug spray and reusable water bottle. Volunteers are welcome to bring any personal labeled tools/supplies or snacks, but Mill Creek Alliance will provide enough tools/supplies/snacks for all volunteers including safety glasses, gloves, loppers, etc.!

Meet and serve people on the margins in our OTR community through a Sunday morning breakfast open from 6:30-8:30am at Prince of Peace Church, 1528 Race Street.  Setup team arrives from 5:30-6:00am.  Doors open to the public at 6:30am.  Prepare food, serve and interact with guests, help with clean up.   A listening ear is key to connecting them with the many forms of support available in the OTR community.  Volunteers may work 2-3 hours, negotiable with program leader Pastor Larry Devereaux.

This is a team-based opportunity, so everyone should stay within close eye distance of each other to ensure safety and efficiency. All supplies must be returned to the check-in location between 12:45 PM and 1:00 PM as the event concludes.

Volunteer with us at the Kentucky Derby–themed Casino Soirée benefiting Greater Project! Volunteers are essential to making this fun, elevated evening a success. Opportunities to help welcome guests, assist with food and beverage service, support games and raffles, and keep the event running smoothly. It’s a great way to give back, enjoy the derby excitement, while making a meaningful impact—helping support vulnerable children in our local community and around the world.

CCAC is looking for friendly, community-minded volunteers to help make this year’s Wednesdays in the Woods concert series a success!

Wednesdays in the Woods is a free outdoor summer concert series held at the Burnet Woods Bandstand, a Cincinnati park located in the heart of Clifton—between downtown and the University of Cincinnati campus. Because of the location, our audience is a diverse mix of families, college students, and neighborhood residents. 

This season marks the 17th year of the series. Concerts take place every Wednesday, June 3rd - August 12th from 7:00–9:00 pm, and include music, food trucks, beer provided by HighGrain Brewing Co., lawn games, a free Kids Art Corner, and a strong sense of community.

Volunteer Responsibilities Include:

Greeting guests as they enter and exit the event

Assisting with tabling for CCAC

Recruiting guests to take surveys about the event

We’ll need 3–4 volunteers at each concert

Clifton Cultural Arts Center is looking for friendly, community-minded volunteers to help make this year’s Clifton Home & Garden Tour a success!

The tour takes place on Mother’s Day, May 10th, from 9:30am–4:30pm, and showcases a dozen beautiful homes throughout the Clifton neighborhood—celebrating architecture, history, and the vibrant community that makes Clifton so special.

Greeting guests as they enter and exit tour homes

Assisting with the flow of visitors through each house

Providing basic context about the home and offering hospitality

Helping guests with directions and navigating between tour locations

Ticket sales and guest assistance at the Clifton Cultural Arts Center (CCAC)

Transportation and shuttle support to assist guests traveling between tour locations

We’ll need 3–4 volunteers at each house at all times, and shifts are broken into two manageable sessions:

Morning Shift: 9:30am–1:00pm

Afternoon Shift: 1:00pm–4:30pm

Each shift is 3.5 hours, and in exchange for volunteering, you’ll receive a free ticket to the Home & Garden Tour, which you can use before or after your shift.

Hope Ignites Cincinnati is in need of ongoing Tutoring/Homework assistance for grades 7-11. Monday - Thursday between the hours of 4 pm - 8 pm. Ideally you would volunteer at least one day a week or every other week. You can volunteer multiple days, change the days each week, etc. Located behind St. Xavier HS in Finneytown. There is driveway parking. Program pauses during holiday breaks and during summer. Background check required and paid for by Hope Ignites Cincinnati.

The Neighborhood Summit is a conference hosted by Invest Neighborhoods, which is an organization that works to envision the city of Cincinnati with engaged and effective Community Councils, working collaboratively to build strong neighborhoods. Their vision is to empower community councils and their resident members, volunteers, and related community organizations, to contribute to civic life and advance the quality of life in Cincinnati's neighborhoods, by increasing capacities and competencies, assisting with resources, and promoting civic engagement.

The Neighborhood Summit proudly celebrates its 25th Anniversary on Saturday, April 25, 2026. They are focusing on looking ahead to the next generation of civic life. This year's conference is titled "Cincinnati 2051: Envisioning the Future" and it invites community leaders, residents, organizers, planners, artists, and innovators to help imagine what our neighborhoods can become over the next 25 years - and what we must do to get there. 

Volunteers are encourage to attend and help us put on a great event. We cannot do this without the support of students and want to partner with students to help imagine the future of Cincinnati.

The purpose of this training is to certify your commitment to the initiative, learn common barriers and techniques at training sites, and familiarize yourself with the details of the program. Any UC student is welcome, however it is encouraged you also join the American Medical Student Association here at UC, too!

Hope Ignites Cincinnati is in need of ongoing Tutoring/Homework assistance for grades 9-11. Monday - Thursday 3 pm - 4 pm. Ideally you would volunteer at least one day a week or every other week. You can volunteer multiple days, change the days each week, etc. Located across the street from St. Ursula Academy. There is ample street parking and located on the Metro bus route.  Program pauses during holiday breaks and during summer. Background check required and paid for by Hope Ignites Cincinnati. 

Each October we host 3 FREE Halloween Costume Giveaway Events for local families in need. We giveaway hundreds of kid/teen costumes each year and we are always collecting additional new and gently-used Halloween costumes and accessories.

Host your own Halloween costume drive and earn 1 service hour for every 10 costumes you collect (kids/adults). Our donors usually bring us garbage bags full of costumes so this is a pretty easy service project that you can do on your own time and contact us for delivery to our storage unit in Harrison, OH (19 miles from UC campus). 

Once you deliver your costumes and they are counted, we will automatically approve your service hours.

BI-WEEKLY OPPORTUNITY - We are looking for a student(s) who will pick up a carload of shoe donations in garbage bags from Give Like a Mother charity on the eastside of Cincinnati/Eastgate Mall and deliver them to our storage unit in Harrison, Ohio.

GLAM charity is 17 miles from UC campus (eastgate).
Our Soles4Souls storage unit is 42 miles from GLAM charity (Harrison).
Harrison is 21 miles from UC campus.
ROUNDTRIP would be approx 2 hours with loading and unloading > bi-weekly

Pick up at GLAM charity can be anytime Mon-Fri between 10am-4pm, we would set up delivery to storage unit the same day, one hour after pick up at GLAM. You must SCHEDULE the pick up with our team before going to GLAM, message us at bekindharrison@gmail.com to let us know the date and time you will be picking up at GLAM during your scheduled volunteer week and we will coordinate drop off the same day.

We will be making appreciation cards for Women Helping Women, a Cincinnati-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering survivors of gender-based violence by providing advocacy, support, and resources to help them navigate safety, healing, and justice.

Volunteer on a Saturday morning in the food pantry getting food into the hands of those experiencing food insecurity with a spirit of welcoming and dignity in our for-choice pantry! Tasks include stocking shelves, assisting guests with getting food, helping them to their cars. Variety of roles accessible for both volunteers needing low impact activity, and those looking to life boxes and move around.

From 9am-10am, we set up the pantry and assign roles to the volunteers, then open hours for guests to come shop are 10am-12pm. The food pantry is open on February 7th & 21st, March 7th & 21st, April 4th & 8th, May 2nd & 16th & 30th, June 13th & 27th. We currently are in a need of a part time volunteer to help us with some HR administrative work. This would entail employee reference calls, file organization, and background check data entry. It would be needed on a part time basis 1-2 days per week.

Share creativity and a love of reading with other students!

Volunteers will design and create handmade bookmarks that will be donated to local schools, libraries, and community organizations. These bookmarks are meant to encourage reading and bring a small moment of joy to recipients. No prior experience is required—this opportunity is beginner-friendly, meaningful, and hands-on.

Families will explore how water fuels the human body, from brain function to energy and movement, through interactive STEM activities. Participants will connect hydration, health, and science as they learn how the body uses water to function at its best.

NOTE: This opportunity starts at 11:00pm on Saturday and concludes at 4:30am on Sunday.

Different opportunities may include serving food, working a game room, serving hot chocolate and coffee, or floating to give other volunteers a break. We will try to keep any teams together, but we may have to divide you into a couple groups as needed.

Please wear comfortable shoes as some will be standing or walking most of the evening.

Food and beverages will be available for volunteers after 1:00am

The event is over at 4:00am, but there may be some clean-up. So plan to be there until 4:30. You will get credit for 5.5 hours if we release you early.

Activity 9: April 21/22

Celebrate spring with the Fort Thomas Easter Egg Hunt in Tower Park! Engage with the NKY community at this family friendly event as we host children and their families at this free egg hunt.

We're looking for volunteers to set up, oversee the egg hunt areas, help with the bunny photos, help us clean the park when it's finished, and other assorted event tasks. 

The event takes place in Tower Park, and volunteers should check in at the Mess Hall when they arrive. 

Help us prepare for our annual Easter Egg Hunt! Fill eggs with candy, and create some spring themed art while you're there.

There are 15,000 eggs to fill with candy for our egg hunt, and we need your help to do it! How many can you fill? Bring your creativity, because we'll also have an opportunity to create some spring themed art! 

This event will take place from 4:00-6:00pm, April 2, at the Fort Thomas Armory. 

Join us as a volunteer at our annual 5K as we kick off Child Abuse Prevention Month! Your time and support helps us raise awareness, stand with children and families, and make a meaningful impact in our community.

St. Francis Seraph Ministries invites UC students to volunteer in our Dining Room, where we welcome individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty in Over-the-Rhine. Our mission is to create a space rooted in dignity and respect, where guests can enjoy a nutritious meal served by compassionate volunteers.

Volunteer Role:
Volunteers assist with serving meals, hospitality, and creating a welcoming environment for our guests. No experience is required, and training is provided.

Meal Service Schedule:
Breakfast and Dinner are served Monday through Friday (excluding major holidays).

Volunteer Shifts:

Breakfast: 6:45 – 9:00 AM

Dinner: 3:45 – 6:00 PM

Scheduling is completely flexible—you may sign up for any shift that fits your availability.

Hey everyone!

UC MEDLIFE is heading to the Reds stadium this semester to run concession stands, and we need your help to raise funds for the org! We’ll mostly be covering Friday and Sunday games to start. It’s a full-team effort, we’ll handle everything from setup to cleanup, and everyone needs to commit to at least 2.5 hours. Before you can work a game, you must attend a mandatory training session. To get started, just register through Volunteer.uc.edu and we will work on getting you set up for a training slot. Once you’re trained, you can pick and choose any game we’re signed up for. Marjorie Book has been producing full length theatrical productions since 1993 with inclusive casts represented by a variety of abilities and represented by various age groups from ages 12 – 86.  Marjorie Book's theater program is open to all people with and without disabilities.  We are actively looking for supporters to join us as an actor in our four one-act plays:  "Chairs," "Loose and Missing Teeth," "Blindspot" and "Spreading the News."  We hold rehearsals on about 15 dates between February and April.  We ask actors to attend at least 75 percent of the time, but we understand that everyone will have to miss some rehearsals.  Our first meeting will be a read through of the four plays and give everyone a chance to be sure they want to commit.  Every year for the last 32 years, we have enjoyed ourselves mounting these challenging productions.  Be a part of the fun!

We are seeking UC volunteers to help with clerical tasks and to help actors, with and without disabilities, run lines on any particular night of rehearsals. Would you like to make a difference in an inner city neighborhood in Cincinnati? We're helping seniors who can't keep up with the work needed around their houses. We need volunteers to paint, clean out brush, and perform basic repairs inside and outside homes in Avondale.  No experience is necessary, just a willing heart and helping hands!

Please dress in older clothes because you'll get messy!
