By volunteering at Bravesgiving 2025, individuals not only contribute their time and effort but also become a part of a larger movement to bring joy and hope to children and families facing significant medical challenges.

Volunteers will help with setup, guest registration, auction assistance, raffle management, and event teardown. Specific roles will be assigned based on individual skills and preferences.

This job will be using Canva to design images for a non-traditional holiday. Standards and templates are provided. Once they are designed, they become the property of the Character Council. Guiding Light Mentoring is seeking a volunteer to help create and design their 2024 annual report. The report will include program services, total youth served, financial information, etc. from 2024. 

Responsibilities include:

Design Layout: Create a cohesive visual layout for the report that includes a cover page, table of contents, and sections for text, images, and graphs. Ensure the design aligns with the organization's branding guidelines.

Integration of Content: Integrate provided text and images into the layout, ensuring all elements are well-organized and easy to navigate.

Revisions and Deliverables: Provide up to three rounds of revisions based on feedback from the organization to ensure the final product meets expectations. Deliver a print-ready PDF version of the Annual Report and an editable version (if applicable) for future updates.

Collaboration: Work closely with the organization to understand the key messages and themes that need to be communicated in the report.

Experience: Experience in designing reports or publications is highly desirable.

These responsibilities highlight the importance of the Annual Report Designer's role in creating a report that is both informative and engaging for stakeholders. The designer's ability to balance visual appeal with data-driven insights is crucial for the success of the report.

Gamble Montessori High School has a need for tutors for our junior high students (grades 7-8) during the 2025-2026 school year. We would love to have UC volunteers work with our students for 1-2 hours weekly or bi-weekly between 11:30-2:30 on Tuesdays or Thursdays. If you are interested in tutoring for a specific subject, we can match you to a student who needs support in that class. We are happy to work with you to accommodate your schedule and tutoring interests!

Birthdays are moments of joy and everyone deserves to feel special. Join our birthday program volunteers and bring magic to our elderly friends on their big day. A few weeks before each month, we'll send out a list of upcoming birthdays. Choose the dates that suit you best and let us know which elder you'd like to visit. Confirm by email and on the big day, pick up their birthday bag and cake. Then comes the best part – deliver the goodies and spend some quality time celebrating with our elder friends. It's a heartwarming way to brighten someone's day!

Lend a hand to local seniors who need help with basic yard work! Volunteers will assist with mowing, weed pulling, and light cleanup to keep lawns safe and tidy.

Would you like to make a difference in an inner city neighborhood in Cincinnati? We're helping seniors who can't keep up with the work needed around their houses. We need volunteers to paint, clean out brush, and perform basic repairs inside and outside homes in Avondale.  No experience is necessary, just a willing heart and helping hands!

Please dress in older clothes because you'll get messy!

Inclement Weather Plan: We work in any weather as long as the roads are safe to travel.

We are looking for youth soccer coaches for the FC Cincinnati Foundation West End Pride program. Teams available from Preschool to U14, both boys and girls teams available. All equipment will be provided, and no soccer coaching experience needed. Each team will have 2+ coaches so you will not have to run the team alone, and you can sign up with your friends!

Practice will be once a week from 6-7:30pm, with 1-2 games most weekends. Season will run from mid August to late October.

GiGi’s Playhouse Cincinnati is looking for dedicated UC students to serve as 1:1 literacy tutors for individuals with Down syndrome. Reading is more than just a skill—it’s a key to independence, inclusion, and lifelong learning. But here’s the challenge: we can only match about 50% of our participants due to a shortage of volunteers. You can help change that.

As a tutor, you’ll be paired with one student and commit to just one hour a week for 10–15 weeks. We’ll provide all the training and materials you need, tailored to how individuals with Down syndrome learn best. You’ll use a proven, research-based approach that focuses on comprehension, speech, memory, and most importantly—confidence.

The Stowe Park Advisory Council launched efforts in 2025 to support the gardens and grounds of the Harriet Beecher Stowe House. Plans include improving gardens by removing invasive species, planting natives and installing educational signage. The CPAC is working in collaboration with the Harriet Beecher Stowe House leadership.

Join the Grail for our monthly volunteer days to remove invasive plants so our beneficial native plants and wildlife can flourish. By volunteering, you’ll not only contribute to the health of our ecosystem but also enhance the beauty of over 70 acres of land enjoyed by visitors and hikers.

These volunteer days are held on the second Saturdays of each month from 9 am to 12 pm at The Grail’s Headquarters, Grailville, 931 O'Bannonville Rd, Loveland, OH 45140. Volunteers will use loppers, hand saws, and chainsaws (for those who are comfortable with them) to cut down and cut up invasive honeysuckle and Callery Pear from the property as well as pull out other invasive plants. Each “All About Me Board” is designed to capture the Favorite Things, Life Story and What Matters Most. Many of our patients struggle with communication barriers or advanced dementia. At a glance, anyone that walks into the room can have access to important information to give that patient a great experience. Each board is purposefully designed to look homemade, unique and specially made just for that patient. Pictures can be added to provide recognition and points of conversation.

The HOC End of Life Doula will sit down and complete the board with either the caregiver and/or patient. Overall, HOC Navigators serve 6,000 patients each year – so we need a lot of help!!!! Our solution is to recruit Community Service Volunteers to help. Gather your businesses, churches, schools and social groups to do together. We also have open service days where you can meet new friends!

Materials are provided or you can host a drive for scrapbook paper, stickers and glue to support the effort prior to serving. HOC will provide a workspace, speaker and facilitator if desired. Each person needs to bring their own pair of scissors, a water bottle, creativity and desire to make a difference! This project can also be done as a remote service opportunity.

If you are unfamiliar with 311, it's a program made by the city that allows residents to report non-emergency problems. Some examples of these issues can include water leaking from fire hydrants, potholes, furniture, and other large items that are on public property.

The YMCA's Achievers program is a dynamic college and career readiness initiative that empowers 7th–12th grade students. We’re looking for motivated college students to serve as volunteer workshop leaders for our Arts & Culture and Finance & Banking clusters. At Washington UCC we have community lunch 4 days a week, feeding the low-income and homeless people in our own neighborhood of Camp Washington.

Lunch is served as a sit-down meal or as a takeout option.

We are located only a 5-minute drive from the UC campus and within walking distance from the west side of campus. 

We are looking for volunteers from approximately 9:30-12:30 (can come a little later and leave a little earlier) any day Monday-Thursday. We are open to people interested in volunteering the same shift each week or a one-time volunteer opportunity. 

Primary Lunch Volunteer Tasks/Responsibilities:

-              Serve lunch to lunch guests starting at noon. Lunch is served in a manner similar to a school lunch, where guests walk down the line while volunteers serve them food. 

-              Assist the cook with making lunch

-              Assist with putting the different components of lunch (meal, side, desert) into the takeout containers and packing the takeout bags with utensils and drinks.

-              Assist with clean-up such as by wiping down table surfaces, washing dishes, sweeping the floor, and putting everything back where it belongs

-              Assist with sorting and bagging Last Mile food donations

-              Other miscellaneous tasks that need to be done in order to serve lunch

Girls on the Run offers afterschool programs for girls in 3rd-8th grade that build confidence, teach healthy habits, and unlock inner strength through running and walking. Coaches do NOT need to be runners, just committed to inspiring young girls and attending practices regularly.

What can YOU gain from coaching?

Girls on the Run Cincinnati hosts two seasons each year, spring and fall, and recruits volunteer coaches for each. Mt. Healthy is a small municipality north of College Hill, and our street tree program is all-volunteer run. We will be mulching street trees: light labor filling bags with wood chips and spreading the chips around the trees. Work gloves are all that's needed.

Hospice of Cincinnati is the largest non-profit hospice provider in the Cincinnati region and is a part of the TriHealth System. Vigil volunteers provide a compassionate presence and promote a relaxing environment for those in the last 24 - 48 hours of life when symptom management is not required. High need for Evening, Nights and Weekends. The duties include active listening, empathetic conversations, observing for symptom changes and escalating needs to the HOC care team. No hands-on care is required. Students are allowed to bring study materials while sitting vigil. The minimum shift is 2 hours although 4 hours is preferred. Shifts can be prescheduled or sign up same day. Transportation is required as most vigil requests occur in Assisted Living or Nursing home facilities. Whether it is sitting and chatting, completing a craft, puzzle, or game together to just listening to them speak, reading to them, or sitting with them to watch their favorite TV show, you can do so much to enrich the lives of our patients that cannot get out and socialize like they used to. Volunteers for this position will be responsible for the computer and audio-visual setup and monitoring for the Sierra Club Miami Group monthly Educational Forum. The Alzheimer’s Association Cincinnati Chapter is part of the Alzheimer’s Association, the world's leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. From its office in Cincinnati, Ohio, the Cincinnati Chapter provides education and support for people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, as well as their families and caregivers. In addition, it offers local support groups, early-stage engagement programs, community education classes and a 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900).

Planning Walk to End Alzheimer's is a great way to give back and make a big community impact in a passionate, relentless nonprofit setting. Each year, dozens of volunteers, like you, plan five Walk to End Alzheimer's events across Cincinnati to raise critical funds for Alzheimer's disease research, care & support programs, and policy work at the state and federal levels. Your work will support the 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer's and the millions more that love, support and care for them.

Community Engagement Committee

*Commit to becoming a fundraising team
*Recruit 3-5 new community teams
*Assist in recruiting back and retaining previous teams
*Cultivate new Champions Club members, level up and recognize current members and retain previous year's champions
*Help build awareness about Walk to End Alzheimer's
*Organize and plan the Walk to End Alzheimer's kickoff
*Model mission fundraising by becoming a Champion
*Impliment ways on how to build community awareness about Walk to End Alzheimer's and our mission
*Length of Involvement 6-8 months

Come during business hours to hang out with our wonderful cats. We have 17 cat rooms!

Come to the League for Animal Welfare during business hours to take a dog on a Field Trip. Just tell the front desk that you want to take a Furball on a Field Trip and we will bring you a dog, complete with their lil backpack filled with the contents they need for a fun day out with a new friend!

The CAIN Choice Pantry offers nutritious food to families in need.  We serve close to 100 guests/families each day our Pantry is open.  We are looking for volunteers to greet guests as they arrive at our Market, and to assist them as they are shopping.  If you speak Spanish, nearly half of our guests are Spanish speaking.  CAIN is committed to respecting the diversity of all of our families and guests, and we work hard to ensure that everyone is treated with dignity and with cultural considerations in mind.

We will be decorating brown paper bags for donation to the RMHC.

You will be getting Narcan & Harm Reduction training from Rachel Harding from Hamilton County Public Health Department!

We will be making bookmarks and doing a book drive for the Queen City Book Bank!

We will be writing letters for Cincinnati Public Schools!

Greet students as they arrive to the teen center and sign them in for the day utilizing our attendance tracking portal. During your down time you will be building safe mentoring relationships and providing extra adult supervision as well.

**All Volunteers MUST get approval from EDGE's Assistant Executive Director PRIOR to serving for the first time. Volunteers will be contacted via email to begin this process upon registering for this opportunity.**
