Volunteer: Coding Help For Non-Profit Retail SiteWe are a fair trade non-profit retail organization and we are hoping to launch our first e-commerce site with Shopify asap but have run into an issue. We have two store locations and currently the site allows customers to add products from both stores into their cart, but then they cannot check out because some items are only available at one store. We need someone to write code that forces them to choose a store to shop from and only allows them to shop from that store's inventory. Having this website will allow us to reach more customers than ever and help support more artisans around the world with fair wages. Volunteer: Virtual Opportunity: Volunteer Researcher - Strengthen Local Volunteer ConnectionsDo you enjoy research and want to make a real difference in your community right from home? Join us as a Volunteer Researcher for Ways to Connect, a national crowdsourced directory of volunteer platforms. Many people want to volunteer but struggle to find the right entry points—especially in smaller towns or underserved areas. At the same time, local volunteer centers and grassroots groups often go unnoticed due to low visibility. Ways to Connect bridges this gap by helping people discover the best local websites, service clubs, and networks already in place. As a Volunteer Researcher, your work will directly improve the visibility of these resources, making it easier for neighbors to find meaningful ways to give back. So far, volunteer researchers have helped us identify over 2,500 resources in 330+ communities across the US. What You’ll Do: Conduct simple online research to identify local volunteer platforms, service clubs, mutual aid groups, and upcoming events for communities around the country. Update and enrich your community’s page on Ways to Connect, ensuring content is accurate, current, and inviting.
Why Volunteer with Inspiring Service? Flexibility: Volunteer anytime, anywhere—it’s fully remote. Small time commitment: Contribute as little as 2 hours, or as much as you’d like. Immediate impact: Your research helps neighbors discover real ways to serve their community. Skill-building: Strengthen online research, critical thinking, and content creation skills. Growth opportunities: Explore deeper involvement through our Ambassador Program. Recognition: See your contributions go live on a national platform, with the option to be credited on our Contributors page. Volunteer: Grab and Go Individual Community Clean-UpGrab a few friends and join us in cleaning our community! When you arrive to 2728 Short Vine St., you will check-in, grab a provided trash grabber, and either a bucket or a trash bag to collect any trash found. After you check-in, you will need to watch a safety video made by UCPD police officers. You will not be permitted to volunteer until after you watch the safety video. Choose any area in the surrounding community to get started! You can clean up near the check-in site in Corryville—or you can make your way to a place a little further away. This option could be useful if you want to clean-up the pathway that you usually take to class, or if you'd like to clean somewhere where you typically spend a lot of time. Make sure to arrive with enough time to finish the clean up! We suggest giving yourself one hour—at least—to check-in, clean, and check-out. All supplies will need to be checked back in to 2728 Short Vine St. at 5:50pm. The opportunity ends at 6:00pm, but to allow time for check-out, please arrive at 5:50pm. The opportunity starts at 3:00pm, but feel free to arrive any time before 5:00pm. Volunteer: About Me Board AssemblyEach “All About Me Board” is designed to capture the Favorite Things, Life Story and What Matters Most. Many of our patients struggle with communication barriers or advanced dementia. At a glance, anyone that walks into the room can have access to important information to give that patient a great experience. Each board is purposefully designed to look homemade, unique and specially made just for that patient. Pictures can be added to provide recognition and points of conversation. The HOC End of Life Doula will sit down and complete the board with either the caregiver and/or patient. Overall, HOC Navigators serve 6,000 patients each year – so we need a lot of help!!!! Our solution is to recruit Community Service Volunteers to help. Gather your businesses, churches, schools and social groups to do together. We also have open service days where you can meet new friends! Materials are provided or you can host a drive for scrapbook paper, stickers and glue to support the effort prior to serving. HOC will provide a workspace, speaker and facilitator if desired. Each person needs to bring their own pair of scissors, a water bottle, creativity and desire to make a difference! This project can also be done as a remote service opportunity. You must have an appointment to volunteer. Please email Lauren_Athey@trihealth.com to schedule. We are looking for individuals interested in assisting the process of going-for (go-pher this or go-pher that) guest bags, searching for shoes, helping to restock clothing that is provided to new guests and bringing the freshly laundered clothes downstairs to the front desk for distribution. If working in a non-profit and directly helping those in our community sounds like your thing, come give us a hand:) *Note: this position requires minor lifting and walking with stairs involved. Those who cannot easily navigate both conditions may find this to be a difficult task and may want to look at a different opportunity offered by MMH **Before you arrive on Republic call the front desk at (513)-721-4811 in order to let you in off the street. We do not open until 8:30 and guests start to congregate in front of our building.
