Come start off the semester with the Dahyabhai Foundation! We will be reintroducing our organization, presenting our new core team of leaders, providing information about service opportunities, and making posters for our Valentine's Day Bake sale! Oh and there's free donuts :)  

Join us for an individual community clean-up in the CUF area! When you arrive to the check-in location (Rohs Street Cafe), you will see a check-in table with waivers for you to sign. There will be a safety talk for everyone to listen to, so make sure to promptly arrive at 11am.

After check-in, you will split off with one of the site supervisors to clean a specific area of CUF (there will be a map provided with some of the possible rotes that we’ll take). You are encouraged to clean sidewalks and nearby grassy areas, but will need to stay out of alleys and private property areas—if you have a question on if you should go somewhere or not, contact your site supervisor. This will be a team opportunity, so everyone will need to stay in close eye-distance to each other to ensure safety and efficiency. All supplies will need to be turned back in to the check-in location between 12:45 PM and 1:00 PM as the event is ending.   

How are my volunteer hours determined? 

Volunteer hours will be determined by the duration of the event, if volunteers stay on task and work as a team, 2 volunteer hours will be awarded.

We currently are in a need of a part time volunteer to help us with some HR administrative work. This would entail employee reference calls, file organization, and background check data entry. It would be needed on a part time basis 1-2 days per week.

Share creativity and a love of reading with other students!

Volunteers will design and create handmade bookmarks that will be donated to local schools, libraries, and community organizations. These bookmarks are meant to encourage reading and bring a small moment of joy to recipients. No prior experience is required—this opportunity is beginner-friendly, meaningful, and hands-on.

Families will explore how water fuels the human body, from brain function to energy and movement, through interactive STEM activities. Participants will connect hydration, health, and science as they learn how the body uses water to function at its best.

Join us for a hands-on, high-energy STEMulating Saturday where students become engineers for the day! Participants will explore how bridges are designed, tested, and improved through storytelling, creativity, and real engineering challenges.
    •    K–3 students will enjoy an engaging story about bridges and then design their own bridge to help animals cross safely.
    •    Grades 4–6 will tackle a design challenge to build the strongest bridge using limited materials.
    •    Grades 7–12 will take on advanced engineering challenges, testing strength, efficiency, and real-world design tradeoffs.

Design. Build. Test. Battle.
In our February Robotics session, students will become engineers as they design and build robots that move! From colorful scribble bots that create art, to walking robots that explore motion and balance, to advanced battle bots that compete in friendly challenges—students will learn how real engineers think, test, and redesign. This hands-on experience sparks creativity, builds problem-solving skills, and shows how robotics connects imagination to innovation.

The Cincinnati Science Olympiad Regional Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026 at XAVIER UNIVERSITY. We are looking for volunteers to help on the day of the tournament with registration, scoring, assisting event supervisors, and other tournament support functions.

Most volunteers are needed from 7:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and must be available for the entire day. Some additional hours are available for early Saturday morning and for Friday set-up.

You simply get to show up and have fun with your group or buddy! Training is built into the volunteer time! Parking and food are provided.

Activity 9: April 21/22

Celebrate spring with the Fort Thomas Easter Egg Hunt in Tower Park! Engage with the NKY community at this family friendly event as we host children and their families at this free egg hunt.

We're looking for volunteers to set up, oversee the egg hunt areas, help with the bunny photos, help us clean the park when it's finished, and other assorted event tasks. 

The event takes place in Tower Park, and volunteers should check in at the Mess Hall when they arrive. 

Help us prepare for our annual Easter Egg Hunt! Fill eggs with candy, and create some spring themed art while you're there.

There are 15,000 eggs to fill with candy for our egg hunt, and we need your help to do it! How many can you fill? Bring your creativity, because we'll also have an opportunity to create some spring themed art! 

This event will take place from 4:00-6:00pm, April 2, at the Fort Thomas Armory. 

Join us as a volunteer at our annual 5K as we kick off Child Abuse Prevention Month! Your time and support helps us raise awareness, stand with children and families, and make a meaningful impact in our community.

St. Francis Seraph Ministries invites UC students to volunteer in our Dining Room, where we welcome individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty in Over-the-Rhine. Our mission is to create a space rooted in dignity and respect, where guests can enjoy a nutritious meal served by compassionate volunteers.

Volunteer Role:
Volunteers assist with serving meals, hospitality, and creating a welcoming environment for our guests. No experience is required, and training is provided.

Meal Service Schedule:
Breakfast and Dinner are served Monday through Friday (excluding major holidays).

Volunteer Shifts:

Breakfast: 6:45 – 9:00 AM

Dinner: 3:45 – 6:00 PM

Scheduling is completely flexible—you may sign up for any shift that fits your availability.

Hey everyone!

UC MEDLIFE is heading to the Reds stadium this semester to run concession stands, and we need your help to raise funds for the org! We’ll mostly be covering Friday and Sunday games to start. It’s a full-team effort, we’ll handle everything from setup to cleanup, and everyone needs to commit to at least 2.5 hours. Before you can work a game, you must attend a mandatory training session. To get started, just register through Volunteer.uc.edu and we will work on getting you set up for a training slot. Once you’re trained, you can pick and choose any game we’re signed up for. Let’s get out there, earn some funding for our mission, and enjoy the season!

Marjorie Book has been producing full length theatrical productions since 1993 with inclusive casts represented by a variety of abilities and represented by various age groups from ages 12 – 86.  Marjorie Book's theater program is open to all people with and without disabilities.  We are actively looking for supporters to join us as an actor in our four one-act plays:  "Chairs," "Loose and Missing Teeth," "Blindspot" and "Spreading the News."  We hold rehearsals on about 15 dates between February and April.  We ask actors to attend at least 75 percent of the time, but we understand that everyone will have to miss some rehearsals.  Our first meeting will be a read through of the four plays and give everyone a chance to be sure they want to commit.  Every year for the last 32 years, we have enjoyed ourselves mounting these challenging productions.  Be a part of the fun!

We are seeking UC volunteers to help with clerical tasks and to help actors, with and without disabilities, run lines on any particular night of rehearsals. Spread kindness and positivity to various students in your community!

Join us at 2728 Short Vine St., to create encouragement cards to support CPS students and peers from UC. Volunteers will create handmade encouragement cards with uplifting messages that will later be donated to local CPS schools. No prior experience is required just a good attitude and mindset of making creative, crafty cards.

Volunteers may arrive anywhere between 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM so they have enough time to make cards. The event runs till 6:00 PM so all supplies must be returned before 6:00 PM.

Volunteer hours will be based on the check-in and check-out times. Specific requirements necessary for cards to be counted as eligible for hours will be discussed at the time of the event.

Would you like to make a difference in an inner city neighborhood in Cincinnati? We're helping seniors who can't keep up with the work needed around their houses. We need volunteers to paint, clean out brush, and perform basic repairs inside and outside homes in Avondale.  No experience is necessary, just a willing heart and helping hands!

Please dress in older clothes because you'll get messy!

Audience members will also have the chance to ask questions and share insights before we conclude the conversation.

Students from every political background are encouraged to participate.

APNET is seeking a student volunteer to support marketing, communications, and digital engagement. This role includes updating the APNET website and social media platforms. Knowledge of WordPress is required. The volunteer will also assist with administrative tasks and gain hands-on experience in nonprofit management, philanthropy, communications, and marketing strategy and execution.

Volunteer duties may include developing strategies to grow APNET’s fan base and strengthen online engagement using tools such as Mailchimp, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube. Responsibilities also include creating newsletters using Mailchimp, designing flyers and promotional materials with Canva, developing relevant content, and supporting interactive digital media experiences. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

This position works closely with the APNET Board and offers meaningful exposure to nonprofit leadership and operations.

Night for the Fight is a unique, 12-hour overnight fundraising event sponsored by CancerFree KIDS where 1100 high school students come together at  the 5/3 arena for a night filled with games, food, fun and inspiration to work toward one goal: knock out childhood cancer. The students will hear from childhood cancer survivors, play games, walk laps, dance, eat and participate in a meaningful reflection to those battling or who have battled cancer.

Join us in making a difference by helping stock the Bearcat Pantry with essential goods for students in need. Volunteers will assist by donating items and encouraging others to contribute.

How It Works: Collect and donate non-perishable food items, hygiene products, and other essentials. Drop-off details and accepted items will be shared during orientation. Your contribution helps fight food insecurity on campus and supports fellow Bearcats!

At check-in, you will be provided with fabric, scissors,and instructions. Volunteers will help by cutting fabric into the required sizes so it can be used for the Fence Mural installation. No prior experience is needed.

The event will go from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. IF you attend the entire two hours you will be awarded two hours of community service.

After completing your assigned fabric, please return all tools and remaining materials to the front desk so we can collect supplies and check you out.

We are looking for Hosts, Kitchen helpers and Photography Assistants, please select one per participant. 

Want to make a BIG impact in the fight against Alzheimer’s? We’re looking for passionate, outgoing volunteers to join the Community Engagement Planning Team for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Cincinnati Tri-State! This team is all about building relationships and creating excitement in the community to grow participation and fundraising for Walk day.

Meet and serve people on the margins in our OTR community through a day center open from 10:30am-2pm on Mondays at Prince of Peace Church, 1528 Race Street.  Food from LaSoupe is delivered to the church and served for lunch.  Doors open to the public at 10:30am and guests arrive throughout the time, often with a variety of needs.  A listening ear is key to connecting them with the many forms of support available in the OTR community.  Volunteers may work 2-4 hours, negotiable with program leader Carol Leslie.

What? Your mission is simple. Show up, have fun and love on your group of kids for the morning. By volunteering with Pause you are helping a family that cares for kid(s) with special needs, receive much needed respite to breathe and fill their cup back up.

Be a 1:1 buddy to a special needs child with extra needs, a small group leader or helper, an activity station leader, a food team member and more! By volunteering with Pause For Parents, Play for Kids you are helping a family that cares for kid(s) with special needs, receive much needed respite. All activities are pre-planned and provided. You simply get to show up and have fun with your group or buddy! Training is built into the volunteer time! Parking and food are provided.

About the Role:
Our Asian Cultural Organization is seeking passionate volunteers who are interested in cultural storytelling, community building, and uplifting diverse Asian identities. Many of our members are international students, immigrants, or come from families that have integrated into new cultures. Volunteers will help create a safe and welcoming space for students to share their personal stories and experiences.

Responsibilities May Include:

Assisting with cultural events, workshops, and discussion spaces

Supporting storytelling initiatives (written, spoken, or digital)

Helping collect, organize, or promote student stories

Engaging with members to foster inclusion and belonging

Supporting social media, outreach, or event coordination (optional)

Who We’re Looking For:

Students interested in Asian culture, identity, and community engagement

International students, immigrants, or children of immigrant families are strongly encouraged to apply

Empathetic listeners who value personal stories and lived experiences

Reliable, respectful, and open-minded individuals

No prior experience required

Your submission must address:

Personal Impact: How this experience has affected you and/or your family

Identity: How you feel this experience has shaped, challenged, or defined who you are today

You may write from any of the following perspectives:

First-person (your own lived experience)

Intergenerational (parents, grandparents, or family history)

Reflective, narrative, or analytical tone

Past-focused, present-focused, or a mix of both

You may include:

Emotional reflection

Cultural traditions or practices

Language barriers or identity conflict

Belonging, displacement, pride, or healing

You do not need to share trauma. You may keep details general if preferred.

Mindfulness practices have long been embedded in many Asian cultures as tools for grounding, emotional regulation, and self-awareness. These traditions were often passed down through generations as everyday practices rather than formal exercises. In today’s academic environment, students frequently balance rigorous coursework, work obligations, cultural adjustment, and emotional stress. For international students and those from immigrant families, these pressures can be compounded by language barriers, cultural expectations, and identity navigation. Our organization recognizes the importance of culturally rooted wellness practices that honor these experiences without adding additional strain. This mindfulness initiative is designed to support students in integrating moments of calm into their existing routines. The practice emphasizes intention over perfection and consistency over intensity. Above all, this program frames mindfulness as both a personal wellness tool and a culturally meaningful tradition.

Participants may begin by sitting comfortably or standing upright in a quiet space, keeping the spine relaxed but aligned. Attention should be gently placed on the natural rhythm of the breath, without attempting to control or change it. When thoughts arise, participants are encouraged to notice them without judgment and return focus to breathing. This practice emphasizes presence and patience, allowing calm to develop gradually rather than forcing relaxation.

Participants may choose a short calming word, sound, or phrase and repeat it silently or softly while maintaining steady breathing. The repetition should be slow and rhythmic, aligning with natural inhalation and exhalation. The focus is on the sound and vibration of the mantra rather than its meaning, although meaning may be personally significant. This practice helps cultivate concentration, grounding, and emotional stability during periods of stress.

Participants may begin by sitting quietly and directing kind, supportive thoughts toward themselves before extending them outward to others. These reflections should be intentional and gentle, without forcing emotion or expectation. Alternatively, walking mindfulness may be practiced by moving slowly and deliberately, paying attention to each step and breath. This approach emphasizes compassion, connection, and awareness within everyday movement.

Participants may engage in slow, controlled movements or stretches while maintaining steady breathing. Attention should be placed on physical sensations such as balance, tension, and release. Movements should be fluid and unhurried, prioritizing awareness over physical exertion. This practice supports mind-body connection and helps release stress accumulated through prolonged sitting or mental strain.

Participants may focus on grounding techniques such as counting breaths, noticing surrounding sounds, or observing physical sensations. Journaling after the practice is encouraged to reflect on emotional state, stress levels, or personal insights. Writing should be open-ended and non-judgmental, focusing on awareness rather than outcomes. These practices allow participants to integrate mindfulness into daily academic life in a flexible and accessible way.

We acknowledge that academic schedules, work commitments, and personal responsibilities can be demanding and unpredictable. Participants may divide their practice into shorter sessions throughout the day rather than completing it all at once. All exercises are adaptable to personal comfort levels and environmental constraints. The intent is to support student well-being while respecting the realities of educational life.

The FC Cincinnati Foundation is looking for several volunteers to fill our open coaching positions for the Spring 2026 season. No prior coaching experience needed!

West End Pride is a free, SAY Soccer program for kids that live, go to school, worship, or parents work in the West End of Cincinnati. All uniforms, cleats, equipment, and anything else that the kids need to learn and grow are provided at no charge, and we do what we can to remove all barriers for any kids in our community that want to play soccer.

Teams run from 4-14 years old, with both boys and girls teams available. Once you register as interested, we will reach out to you to set up a virtual meeting where we can discuss more details and find a team that is best fit for you. Practices are once a week, with 1-2 games on the weekends.

Let's recycle together at 5/3 after the Bearcats defeat BYU! This is a great opportunity for both service hours + a hands-on learning experience.
