We at Cincinnati Hillel need help cleaning our kitchen at the end of our Shabbat Evening Experience. This is a big help to our organization, and we would love to have you join us for dinner, which begins at 6:15pm! We just need assistance at evening's end to clean-up while our staff focuses on deeper engagement beginning around 7pm.There are two main places we need help, the kitchen and the Great Hall, where dinner takes place. Dining Room (Great Hall) Tasks:Gather ritual items off the table and put them away for use in the future. Collect water jugs and place in the kitchen.Collect any spare cutlery and plates, dispose of plastic ware. Take out trash bins and replace with new bags (as needed). Strip table cloths off of tables, shake them off outside, and collect them into the laundry basket in the downstairs hallway.Push chairs into the tables.Turn off lights. Kitchen Tasks:Proceed to our kosher kitchen and begin washing any leftover kitchen utensils in the sink. Take out trash bags to our (brown) garbage bins just outside the building. Then place new bags in the trash can (as needed). Dry any utensils which have been washed and put them away in the proper kitchen under the supervision of a Hillel staff member. Cover, box, and refrigerate any leftovers into the proper kitchen marking the date it was put in the fridge. Ensure stoves and ovens have been turned down (pilot light being on is fine). Volunteer: 2025 Germania Christkindlmarkt

Looking for volunteers for the upcoming Christkindlmarkt Festival this November 7, 8, 9. On average, our shifts are 5-hour intervals, but you're welcome to stay as long as you want. With every shift, there is free authentic German food and drinks provided. Our need is for people to help out with the parking crew, the largest volunteer group at the Germania Society of Cincinnati. During the weekend, the parking crew tackles so many tasks and oversees thousands of guests coming in and out of the event. Tasks include, but are never limited to directing traffic, working the entry gates, providing golf cart services to elderly and volunteers, communicating with the law enforcement and medics on site, cleaning up any trash left in the yards, etc. Any caliber of help from all ages is welcome and encouraged, feel free to bring your family along as well. Every volunteer gets free entry into the event after their shift is completed. Come support Cincinnati's oldest Oktoberfest with the Germania Society of Cincinnati.

Each year the Miami Historical Society of Whitewater Township hosts a local Ghost Talk in Miamitown, Ohio, whereby people come to share their real ghost experiences. The MHS is seeking someone to help edit audio/visual content into stories we can present that evening to the people who would like to share their experiences but are unable to attend.

We are looking for someone who will use their audio/video skills to take clips and create a short video that we can use.

This project is for someone who is studying media production / related fields. This is a great opportunity to build your portfolio.

Please send us your resume and a few examples of your work from your portfolio.
After we review that information, we will have a zoom conversation with you to tell you more about our wishes. You will be able to keep a copy of this project for your portfolio showing the editing process you completed. The one hour time frame is for the initial meeting. We will gladly sign for time used to create the project.
