Lunch from Currito, and transportation to and from campus are provided for all volunteers!
Join the Center for Community Engagement and Keep Cincinnati Beautiful to be part of the Neighborhood Enhancement Program (NEP). The NEP coordinates and integrates services and community redevelopment efforts with a 90-day focus on one neighborhood in the city. Efforts this year will be focused on the Avondale neighborhood to meet community-identified needs through the nationally acclaimed NEP program.
Projects include everything from painting, planting flowers, to general neighborhood clean-up. Learn more about the NEP on the City of Cincinnati's website.
Here's how Into the Streets will work:
- Meet on campus at the CAMPUS RECREATION CENTER CIRCLE at 8:30a. Buses will leave promptly.
- When you arrive, you'll check in with the Center for Community Engagement then choose a specific project.
- To choose a project, find a Team Leader and sign up with them. Remember your project letter.
- We will be back on campus by 2:30p (6 hours of off campus community service).
- Currito for lunch! Vegetarian options available, but if you have special dietary needs, please plan ahead.
- Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes! Long pants are recommended and required for some projects. The event will be held rain or shine. We will give you a t-shirt, too.
