We are hosting a volunteer opportunity for UCCOM students at the Women's Shelterhouse on March 10th 1-4pm. Please sign up to volunteer at our health fair where we will be providing BP checks, glucose screenings, vision checks, heart/lung sounds, education services on topics such as smoking cessation, safe sex, nutrition and more! There will also be a preceptor present at the fair to help students assess heart/lung sounds as well as provide guidance to the shelter house residents for any medical concerns they may have.
We will provide all the materials needed, as well as PPE. In addition, COVID-19 guidelines dictate that no more than two medical students should ride in a car together to/from the event.
