Blood Drive Assistance - Friday 02/12/2021

Expired

Description

On Friday, February 12th, UC will be hosting Hoxworth Blood Center again for a follow up to the ALL CAMPUS BLOOD DRIVE!  The response last week was so great that we were able to add this date on the calendar to come back to campus.  The blood drive will consist of three buses in front of TUC from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Hoxworth will need some assistance from volunteers working with Hoxworth staff to help keep everyone socially distanced, welcoming and directing donors to the available buses for donations, signing up donors for blood drive appointments, assisting in displaying signage and generally making sure the blood drive runs well.

We have allowed for up to two volunteers to participate for a 3.5 hour time frame on two different shifts (early, 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM and late, 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM).  We know this is a long commitment for a day, but also are limiting the amount of volunteer participants due to COVID-19. Everyone will need to be practicing social distancing protocols and wearing a mask while participating with the blood drive.

Hoxworth Blood Center Staff will be on-site to help any of the volunteers that are able to give their time to assist.  Please email Jamie Glahn (james.glahn@uc.edu) regarding volunteering and Bobby Boettcher (boettcra@ucmail.uc.edu) regarding questions about the blood drive.

We rely heavily on UC volunteers participating in the blood drive events.  Your assistance is needed and appreciated.  If you sign-up and have to cancel within 72 hours of the event please email Jamie (james.glahn@uc.edu) and Bobby (boettcra@ucmail.uc.edu), so we are aware.  Since this is a one day event and sent out in plenty of time please do not sign-up for this opportunity if you are not sure you can commit time on this day.
