Marjorie Book Virtual Events
Our mission is to bring teenagers and adults with and without disabilities together for projects of mutual interest. We have proudly offered continuing education classes, service projects and theatrical plays to the community for the last 27 years. The recent pandemic has limited our ability to offer these programs in 2020, but we are excited about some upcoming activity that align with our mission to bring people together.
These sessions are opportunities for different participants to share a full length video (1-60 minutes in length) or part of a video from Youtube with others. We will watch the video together and discuss it. This group will have a focus on fantasy, science fiction and anime. All are welcome to participate. If you are interested in selecting a video for a particular month in 2020 or in 2021, please contact Joe Link at marjoriebook1993@gmail.com.
Volunteers are sought to participate in the activity and facilitate participation with individuals with disabilities.
To join our virtual events, please register in advance by contacting Joe Link at marjoriebook1993@gmail.com or 513-328-6300. We can accept registrations up to one hour before the virtual event begins. When you register, you will receive an invitation by email to join us through a system called WebEx. WebEx is very easy to use and similar to Zoom. For persons who are visually impaired, please know that WebEx has a call-in phone number, in case that is helpful.
