MLK Day of Service
For years, MLK Day has been referred to as "A day on, not a day off."
If you are inspired to make a difference in your community, Cincinnati Parks has opportunities to get out and serve! Start the new year off by helping Cincinnati Parks maintain safe, clean & beautiful parks in neighborhood parks throughout the city.
"All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence."
- Martin Luther King, Jr.
Volunteers should be prepared for the weather (layered clothing) and wear long pants and long sleeves to protect against thorns and possible poison ivy encounters. Required: Close-toed & sturdy shoes, work gloves (if you own them) and a refillable water bottle. There will be a limited number of work gloves available to borrow.
Help beautify and protect the environment at a small park in Mt. Auburn. There is an area of the park that is heavily trashed with debris, volunteers will need to be steady on their feet and negotiate a rugged terrain and hillside.
