Become a Mentor at TMS!
Looking for a meaningful way to give back while gaining real-world experience? Our mentoring program pairs caring adults in the community with middle school students for one-on-one support, encouragement, and connection. As a mentor, you’ll meet with your student once a week during the school day, building a positive relationship while helping them develop confidence, social-emotional skills, and goal-setting habits.
No teaching experience is required; just consistency, empathy, and a willingness to show up.
What to Expect:
- One-on-one mentoring with the same student each week
- Meetings take place at the school during the school day for about 30-45 minutes
- Ongoing support from program staff
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to commit to weekly meetings through the end of the school year
- Reliable transportation to the school site
- Strong communication skills and a dependable, positive attitude
This is a great opportunity for students interested in education, psychology, social work, or anyone who wants to make a lasting impact in a young person’s life! See below for more details on the mentor application process!
