What: We will weed the rain garden and compost area. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.
The rain garden and compost area are used for education at the Conservation District. They rain garden is designed to collect and store rain water run off, reducing the volume of water entering the creek. They were planted with native plants, but like most gardens is being over-run with weeds. The compost area has multiple compost bins, however some honeysuckle is trying to make a comeback so we will be cutting and treating it.
Who: Any age
When: We will begin at 10 am, but you can join us when you can make it.
Where: The rain gardens are along the edge of the parking lot next to the building.
Please bring: Water bottle. If you have gloves and tools, please bring them. We will have some to share.
We will bring: Water to refill bottles, extra gardening tools and gloves.
