Date & Duration: Saturday May 24th, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Meeting Location: GMRT Columbia Trail Head, 26 N. Carmody Boulevard, Middletown OH 45042 (There will be signage directing Volunteers to the job site)
Tasks: We will collect litter along the Great Miami River Trail left behind by the recent flooding that has collected in areas not normally exposed to the high waters
What to wear:
- Sturdy, closed-toed shoes
- Weather-appropriate clothing and layers (Warm jacket, rain jacket, hat, extra layer, etc.)
- Sunglasses (Optional; For sun protection during outside activities.)
- Work gloves (Optional; Available through MetroParks.)
- Water bottle (we will have a refill station avalible)
- Snacks
- MetroParks will provide all other tools necessary to complete the tasks for the day.
Weather: We will work through light rain, but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. Please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
Accommodations: The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins.
