Welcome to Dater High School! We have a roughly 30% ESL/ELL student population with the majority speaking Spanish, followed by French and Arabic. Due to the pandemic, we are in need of tutoring supports to aid with present education gaps and learning losses. Supports needed are bilingual tutors, math, reading/ELA, and science specifically, but any and all tutoring supports for grades 7-12 are appreciated. Dater is one of the only two schools in the CPS district to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. Volunteer tutors can be virtual or onsite (Dater) but preferably in-person.
Dater High School adheres to all CDC Covid guidelines, including wearing masks at all times.
*Tutors are required to have a local background check. You may get one at the Hamilton County Justice Center, 1000 Sycamore Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202, Mon.-Fri. 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM. COST is $5.00 (CASH ONLY) with your driver's license, passport, or state ID.
