WHO WE ARE
BLOC's Farm to Table is an initiative aimed to improve the accessibility and affordability of produce to low-income families in Price Hill.
WHAT THE POSITION LOOKS LIKE
Working side by side with the Bloc Farm to Table director, this position is perfect for someone who loves to plan and execute events. Our markets have a mission, to reduce food insecurity and increase the number of fruits and vegetables that low income families consume daily. Farmers markets are bi-weekly events held at Horses on the Hill and various other locations in Price Hill. Event work includes setting up, displaying and selling locally sourced produce. Co-lead would assist at our "Power of Produce '' in school program aimed at teaching children to eat the rainbow (and love it!), as well as direct our "Fruit for the Holiday'' program that distributes fruit
to area students just before holiday break to ensure they have healthy snacks while school is closed.
HOURS
Pop up markets will be scheduled at various locations and will coincide with student availability (some Saturday mornings and Sunday mid day. Co-op would be engaged in pop up markets and other avenues for produce distribution in East and Low Price hill for 10-14 hours per week.
