April Pool's Day - Clippard YMCA

On Sunday, April 21st, the Y is sponsoring April Pool's Day, a one-day intensive safety in and around water training day for kids, caregivers, and families. The Y staff will teach basic skills necessary to be safe in and out of the water in preparation for summer activity. Water safety is no joke! Consider registering a child who needs those basic lessons to stay safe today. While children are learning about safety in the water, parents and caregivers will learn basic skills to keep children safe on land.

Volunteers are needed to help make this day a success! Check out the volunteer opportunities below and register to help today.

Volunteer Opportunities include:
* Welcome Crew - Set up registration space, greet participants, assist with check-in, capture smiles at the photo booth, and host the hospitality space for instructors and volunteers.
* On-Deck Volunteers - Assist the Y aquatic staff with their groups of children, print certificates, and assist with dry land activities. Volunteers will be on the pool deck and should dress for warm temperatures and wear shoes that could get wet on the deck. The pool area can be steamy!!
* In Pool Volunteers - Volunteers will assist the Y staff in water instruction for kids; help monitor children in the water or while sitting on the side of the pool waiting for instruction. Volunteers will be in the pool and will get wet.
