On April 23rd, the Y is sponsoring April Pool's Day, a one day intensive safety in and around water training day for kids, caregivers and families. The Y staff will teach basic skills necessary to be safe in and out of the water in preparation for summer activity.
Volunteers are needed to help make this day a success! There are many different opportunities with different time commitments. Check out the volunteer opportunities below and register to help today.
Volunteer Opportunities include:
* 11:15 am - 12:30 pm Set Up Crew - Set up registration space, the pool deck, and land instruction area.
* 11:45 am - 3:00 pm Hospitality Crew - Greet participants, assist with registration, direct traffic, and hosting the hospitality space for instructors and volunteers.
* 12:00 pm - 3:45 pm On-Land Instruction Crew - Assist the Y staff in land instruction for parents; distribute literature and demonstrate safety skills.
* 3:15 pm - 4:00 pm Clean Up Crew - Assist with the breakdown of the registration area, gathering and putting away pool equipment and clean up the land instruction space.
