Each year, the YMCA celebrates Welcoming Week, a special time when neighbors from all backgrounds come together to build connections and affirm that everyone belongs. This year's celebration centers on a community dinner - a warm, inclusive space to enjoy good food, connect with new people, and engage in meaningful conversation. Volunteers are vital to making this evening welcoming, smooth, and memorable for all attendees. Whether you're greeting guests or helping with set-up, you'll help turn this dinner into an unforgettable moment of connection.
Volunteers are needed for multiple shifts and activities:
Table Setup Crew (2:00–4:00 PM)
Clean Up Crew (7:00–8:00 PM)
Event Greeters (4:45–6:15 PM)
Registration Table (4:45–6:15 PM)
Elevator Volunteer (5:00–7:00 PM)
Food Station Hosts (5:30–7:00 PM)
By serving at this dinner, you’ll do more than help run an event - you’ll create space for meaningful connection. Your presence helps guests feel welcome and seen, setting the stage for new friendships and deeper community bonds.
