The scholars at North Gate Garden (Colerain Township) will be working across an acre and a half of garden space on a range of maintenance and improvement projects. Their tasks include removing invasive species along the fence line, applying waterproofing to benches, weeding around the fence, and helping to load and remove bricks to create a new garden path. They’ll also assist with incorporating donated horse manure into the garden beds to enrich the soil and promote future growth. The work focuses on both improving the garden’s functionality and maintaining its long-term health.
