Let's get cooking with New Leaf Kitchen! Our mission is to spread the value of healthy eating and mindful living through cooking and food exploration programs for children. Our 'root-up' approach to food education focuses on how to source, grow, prepare, and consume food in ways that will positively impact our health, environment, and economy. We have a vision of healthy, equitable, and sustainable communities for everyone.
We need volunteers to assist with cooking and food education classes. Help New Leaf Kitchen spread the value of healthy eating while keeping children engaged in a hands-on activity!
Volunteers will:
- help set up.
- Work with the children and teacher to explore food and create a healthy recipe!
- Maintain a safe and fun work environment throughout the class.
- Help clean up.
An invitation to the scheduling app, Sling, will be sent to volunteers. This App will enable you to view the schedule for this position and notify you with any reminders or updates to the schedule of this class.
