Volunteer: Digital Marketing and Engagement (SUMMER VOLUNTEER INTERNSHIP)

Most work will be performed on-site at St. Vincent de Paul’s Neyer Outreach Center at 1146
Willian L. Mallory Sr, St. (formerly Bank St.) Cincinnati, OH), with some flexibility for remote
work depending on assignments, and occasional travel to SVDP thrift stores or events for
content creation.

Non-profit Background:

St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati (SVDP) has served residents of Greater
Cincinnati for over 150 years with basic needs such as food, medicine, and homelessness
prevention through its outreach center in the West End and over 50 parish-based volunteer
Conferences. SVDP provides holistic direct assistance and systemic change services while
treating neighbors in need with dignity and compassion.

Position Summary:
St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati seeks a motivated and creative Digital Marketing and
Engagement Intern to support the work of our Office of Mission Advancement this summer.
This volunteer position will provide hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing and
communications, with an emphasis on social media, email marketing, basic website
updates, and reporting.
This internship is ideal for a student or early-career professional looking to build a portfolio
in digital marketing, communications, or related fields while making a positive impact on
the community.


Primary Responsibilities:

Social Media/Content Creation:

Create graphics and content to support social media campaigns, Assist with creation of photography and video content, including attending
events and visiting SVDP thrift stores to capture photos and video for social
mediaMonitor and flag important messages or comments across social media
platforms 

Email Marketing: 

Create graphics and content to support social media campaigns, Assist with creation of photography and video content, including attending
events and visiting SVDP thrift stores to capture photos and video for social
mediaMonitor and flag important messages or comments across social media
platforms

Reporting and Analytics: 

Help compile monthly and quarterly digital performance reports (social
media, email, website analytics)

Website Support: 

Make basic updates to the organization’s website (e.g., updating homepage
sliders, event pages, minor copy edits)


Qualifications:

Interest in and commitment to the mission of St. Vincent de Paul Coursework or experience in marketing, communications, journalism, digital media,
or a related field preferredBasic understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools preferred Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines Basic knowledge of WordPress or willingness to learnStrong communication and organizational skills Willingness to take direction, seek feedback, and work as part of a team
