As a mentor, you’ll provide guidance, encouragement, and support to local youth navigating challenges and opportunities in their lives. What You'll Do: Build a one-on-one relationship with a young person aged 13-18. Share your life experience, skills, and wisdom to help them set and achieve goals. Be a positive role model by spending quality time together weekly, engaging in fun activities, and exploring personal growth. The Impact: Mentors play a vital role in shaping the lives of youth in our community. Studies show that mentored youth are: More likely to graduate high school and pursue higher education. Less likely to engage in risky behaviors. Better equipped to build healthy relationships and envision a brighter future. What’s in It for You: The joy of making a difference in a young person’s life. Personal growth as you learn from the experience of mentoring. The opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and become part of the Mentoring Plus family. Commitment: We ask for a minimum of 3 hours per week for six months to create meaningful and lasting connections. Training and ongoing support are provided to ensure your success as a mentor.
