We're looking for volunteers to help distribute posters and install yard signs around Cincinnati on Thursday, August 20.

We're focusing on:

Please note: Due to campus restrictions, posters and signs cannot be placed on the University of Cincinnati campus. However, locations near campus that are outside of UC's jurisdiction are perfectly fine.

We'll adjust your volunteer hours to reflect the amount of time you spend distributing posters and signs, including your time out on your route.

Join MCA in helping to clean up and restore the Mill Creek at Evendale Commons.

The UMCCU confirms Mill Creek Alliance commitment to completed restoration project sites by engaging volunteers and the community in cleanup, maintenance, and education efforts.

This year’s event will take place near Evendale Commons, where in 2016 MCA completed a restoration project featuring 850' of streambank stabilization, stream flow management, and floodplain bench installation. This work has improved the water quality, reduced flooding, restored habitat, reduced non-point source pollution, and created a new recreation opportunity along the bank of the Mill Creek. Volunteers will clean up by land and water, complete needed maintenance, and plant more trees.

Space is limited on some crews, registration in required. Land cleanup crews of all sizes are welcome! If you are coming with a larger group, contact us in advance or have all participants so we can be sure to have appropriate tools on hand.

Tools and instructions will be provided at the event. Lunch will be provided.

This hands dirty, feet wet cleanup will occur at a few dispersed work sites. All participants should meet under the tents on the bank of the Mill Creek at The Evendale Commons at 9 am. Be prepared for walking through thick brush and getting muddy. Please dress appropriately (pants, long sleeve shirts, hats/bandanas) and wear closed toe footwear. Sunscreen and bug spray will be available.

The land cleanup is suitable for people of all ages and activity levels. Canoe volunteer spaces are limited to adults only, please. After the work, everyone will gather under the tents to unload their spoils, enjoy some food and refreshments, and tell grand stories of their exploits.

Every month, thousands of households are served by our Catino Choice Food Pantry. Volunteers are needed to help stock shelves, sort donations, and accompany neighbors through our Choice Food Pantry.

We have many shifts in the first week of August that need volunteers. Please help support your Cincinnati neighbors!

Health looks different for everyone. That's why the Network for Hope is hosting the 5th Annual Live Healthy & Move Health Fair on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 10:15 AM to 2:30 PM at Forest Park (1201 West Kemper Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45240). This free community event brings together health resources, screenings, family activities, community partners, and a day of family fun. Free school supplies will be available while they last (kids must be present to receive their goodies)!

UC Open School (UCOS) is proud to bring together students from Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Physical Therapy to provide the following at this year's event:

Last year's event drew about 160 attendees, and organizers are hoping for at least 200 this year. This is a great opportunity to build patient interaction skills, work alongside students from other health professions, and give back to the Cincinnati community.

This event will take place outdoors.

Come volunteer at Central Parkway YMCA's Kids Club!

Volunteers help bring joy and creativity to our youngest members by reading, playing, and engaging with children ages 8 and under. While parents focus on their own health in the fitness center, volunteers work alongside YMCA staff to ensure kids are safe, cared for, and inspired through fun activities and imaginative play. This role is a meaningful way to support families, spark children’s imaginations, and strengthen our community. The hours below represent when volunteers are typically needed. You do not need to be available for every shift, but your availability should generally match these times.

Help us clean up Nippert after your organization participates in the Fall Invovlement Fair! To have your hours validated, please check in at the check-in table at the conlcusion of the involvement fair. 

Ohio Living Village Home Health & Hospice provides special care, comfort, and support to those facing a life-limiting illness. Volunteers are a large part of hospice care and make an INCREDIBLE difference in the lives of others.Hospice volunteers can contribute in a variety of ways:Provide companionship by just being present with the patient, listening to their stories, doing activities, etc.Provide a bedside presence for a patient who is actively dying.Assist patients with documenting their stories or writing cards or letters.Conduct video chats with patients and their out-of-town loved ones.Help tidy up a patient's room or maintain their house/yard.Assist our chaplains with bereavement services and support for families after patient deaths.Create or collect items to be donated to our patients.We try to match you with patients you would get along with well and who are as close to your home as possible. We provide services to our own Ohio Living facilities throughout the area as well as other facilities and in patient homes in the community.Any volunteers wanting to visit or talk to patients/families directly must undergo an extensive onboarding process, including a background check, fingerprinting, drug screen, 2-step TB test, in-person and online training. Once you've joined the program, you can visit patients whenever and however often you want! You just need to decide your frequency (weekly, biweekly, monthly, etc.) and stick to it.

Join Mill Creek Alliance for our monthly workparties! These workparties can consist of many different tasks including but not limited to invasive plant removal, trash pick-up, tree planting, and spreading native seed depending on the worksite and time of year.

What to wear: Wear weather appropriate clothing (layers are always a good idea). Long sleeves, long pants, and closed toed shoes are highly recommended to avoid cuts and scratches, sunburn, and possible exposure to poison ivy.

What to bring: Bring your own sunscreen, bug spray and reusable water bottle. Volunteers are welcome to bring any personal labeled tools/supplies or snacks, but Mill Creek Alliance will provide enough tools/supplies/snacks for all volunteers including safety glasses, gloves, loppers, etc.!

Key Responsibilities

Conduct research on traditional Asian medicine practices and their integration into Western wellness markets

Develop educational content — articles, social media posts, newsletters, and videos — on Oriental wellness topics

Assist in planning wellness events, workshops, and practitioner networking sessions

Build relationships with acupuncture clinics, herbalists, wellness centers, and holistic health practitioners

Support the creation of a wellness directory or resource hub for ACA members

Track industry trends and identify partnership and sponsorship opportunities

The Community Engagement Expo is an annual event hosted by the Center for Community Engagement. This event takes place every August or September and invites students to come and get to know various community organizations. Whether you're a commuting student who is looking for community-based support services, an off-campus student looking to get involved in your neighborhood, or a student who wants to receive volunteer hours, we invite you to attend to get to know some of our community organizations and partners!

This concert explores the many ways popular artists have saluted America in their music. From The Beach Boys, Simon & Garfunkel, Chicago, Elton John, Neil Diamond, and James Brown to Martina McBride, Lana Del Rey, and Miley Cyrus and more, each song reflects a unique interpretation of America—its people, freedoms, hopes, and ideals. Together, these songs paint a musical portrait of America through the voices of some of popular music’s most memorable artists.

Help volunteer at the Bearcats pantry and Resource Center Garden! We would love assistance in providing food for fellow Bearcats to be distributed at The Market in Stratford Heights Building 16. You will help with planting, weeding, watering, and other tasks, someone will be available to show you what to do! You do not have to commit to the whole 2 hour period and can include travel time as part of it. The weather is changeable and can be cold or hot. Be prepared for: all weather, getting dirty, heavy lifting, digging, squatting or bending over, and getting your own transportation to and from the site. There is ample parking available. 

Our ArtWalks welcome the public in for an immersive experience only 3 weekends a year. Visit our Resident Artists in their studios, stroll the halls full of Visiting Artists, shop unique pieces, and learn about our local art co-ops all while enjoying great food, drink, and live music!

Volunteers are needed Friday and Saturday night in two hour shifts. Opportunities include greeting and directing visitors (in the lobby or parking lot) and manning the Essex merchandise booth and complimentary coffee counter. It is a fantastic chance to get to know both established and upcoming artists in Cincinnati! Volunteers are also invited to enter the ArtWalk Art Contest. The theme is open to interpretation and all sizes and/or mediums encouraged. Entries are due the Wednesday before.

Help make it easier for families to attend our monthly PTO meetings (2nd Wednesday of every month beginning September 9, exception in November) by volunteering with our students during the meeting.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

No special experience is necessary—just a positive attitude and a willingness to help. Your support allows parents to participate in PTO meetings while knowing their children are safe, engaged, and having fun.

We need volunteers to clear trails and overgrown brush on both our Central and East Campuses. Our kids use these trails for outdoor activities and are in constant needs of maintenance during the warm months. April 1st to October 31st annually. 

15+ niche sports are coming together to showcase their talents and provide the community the opportunity to learn the variety of sports/games available to them here in Greater Cincinnati at REC FEST Cincinnati. We are looking for individuals that can help with registration, sport stations (no knowledge of the sport is necessary), crowd support, and getting into some of the games! We will have food trucks, music, likely to have media, and have a trail of sports from Sawyer Point to the Pickleball Courts. Sports will have their own stations to showcase their sport through drills to learn the sport as well as special opportunities throughout the day to take part in friendly/competitive games. Current sports include team handball, Gaelic football, women's football, cricket, orienteering, korfball, tennis, pickleball, rugby, Aussie football, fishing, roller skating, ultimate frisbee, disc golf, street hockey, broomball, and more to come! 

The FC Cincinnati Foundation is looking for volunteer Head and Assistant coaches for our youth soccer program, West End Pride. Coaches will be expected to attend one practice every week during the evening, as well as coach games during the weekends. No coaching experience necessary!

West End Pride is a free soccer program for any kids living, going to school, worship, or their parents work in the West End neighborhood. We have over 300 kids now who regularly play for us, aged from preschool to high school for boys and girls. 

If you are interested in learning more sign up for this opportunity and a member of our FCC Foundation staff will reach out to you so you can learn more, ask any questions you have, and look at teams that may be a good fit for you!

Hope Ignites Cincinnati is in need of ongoing Summer Chinese Language Tutoring/Homework assistance for grades 8-11. Monday - Thursday between the hours of 4 pm - 8 pm. Ideally you would volunteer at least one day a week or every other week. You can volunteer multiple days, change the days each week, etc. Location is in Finneytown, OH (near St. Xavier HS). We are a major nonprofit land trust on the West side of Cincinnati, along the Ohio River.  We have a number of properties where we maintain hiking trails and work hard to restore the land to native vegetation.

About Last Mile Food Rescue

Last Mile Food Rescue (LMFR) is dedicated to reducing food waste and fighting hunger by rescuing surplus food and delivering it to community partners throughout Greater Cincinnati.

Position Purpose

The Volunteer Container Support Assistant helps support daily food rescue operations at LMFR’s on-site storage container. This role assists volunteers and staff with food rescue pickups and drop-offs, helps organize loads, and supports smooth operations in a fast-paced outdoor environment. This volunteer position plays an important role in ensuring rescued food is handled efficiently and safely so it can quickly reach community partners serving those in need.

Volunteer Responsibilities

·        Assist volunteers with pickup and drop-off food rescue loads

·        Help organize, move, and stage rescued food at the storage container

·        Lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds regularly

·        Work inside refrigerated or cold storage environments

Team from 9am-12pm for our August Workparty at Harmony Park in Woodlawn. We will work to clean up the trails in the park by removing honeysuckle and other invasive species.

We offer the urban poor in Over-the-Rhine a place of dignity and respect as they enjoy breakfast and dinner served by compassionate volunteers.  Meals are served to our guests Monday through Friday (excluding major holidays) from 7:30 - 8:30am and 4:30 - 5:30pm.  Our volunteer shifts are from 6:45 - 9:00am and 3:45 - 6:00pm.

We are located less than a mile and a half from UC in the St. Anthony Center (corner of Liberty and Republic). Parking is available in front of the building, and behind St. Francis Seraph School (turn on Vine St. and park between the green school fence and Hubert St.)

We huddle with the kids at 11:45 am to reinforce our themes, share wisdom from the guest speaker, recognize outstanding behavior for the day, and eat lunch.

The Clermont Community Garden needs your help!

Over 20 beds of vegetables, a pollinator garden, and apple trees need tending to survive and thrive through our Ohio summer. All produce harvested is donated to InterParish Ministries Food Bank in Batavia, Ohio.

Each week, we need volunteer help to keep the plants watered, weeded, and harvested. Signing up for a harvesting and watering day means running through the following task list at the time of your choice (does not have to be 8am!) on the day you select. Plan to spend about an hour at the garden. A follow-up email will provide directions to the garden and produce drop-off and electrical fence and tool shed access codes.

High Achievers Aim High (H.A.A.H.) is seeking a creative and motivated volunteer to help capture the energy and impact of our programs through engaging photo and video content. This role will support both our early childhood education programs and partner youth sports activities.

The volunteer will attend select program days, events, and activities to film and photograph students (with appropriate permissions), then edit and produce short-form social media content (Reels, TikToks, and highlight videos). Content will showcase daily learning, special events, youth development, and community impact.

These volunteer days are held on the second Saturdays of each month from 9 am to 12 pm at The Grail’s Headquarters, Grailville, 931 O'Bannonville Rd, Loveland, OH 45140. Volunteers will use loppers, hand saws, and chainsaws (for those who are comfortable with them) to cut down and cut up invasive honeysuckle and Callery Pear from the property as well as pull out other invasive plants. Like to cook? Many of our programs would love to be a recipient of your meals. Cook at your home, by yourself or with a group and drop it off at one of our locations. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner slots are available. What an easy way to help our youth while doing something you enjoy!

Help Lighthouse collect various items for children, youth and families in need such as: school supplies, cleaning supplies, linens, kitchen items, baby items, bottled water, hygiene supplies and blankets. We are always in need of items to help our children and families. This is a great volunteer opportunity for churches, schools, and offices. More detailed lists can be provided if you're interested in hosting a donation drive.

Meet and serve people on the margins in our OTR community through a Sunday community meal served at 11:30am every other Sunday at Prince of Peace Church, 1528 Race Street.  Arrive at 10:30am to help with setup, serve from 11:30-12:30, help with clean up and depart by 1pm.  Food supplied by LaSoupe.  Serve and interact with guests.   A listening ear is key to connecting them with the many forms of support available in the OTR community.  Volunteers work 2.5 hours.  Program leader Samantha "Sam" O'Connor.

Overview
The Corryville Community Development Corporation is seeking community-minded volunteers to help keep the Short Vine business district clean and welcoming. Litter Pickup and Landscaping Volunteers play an important role in maintaining the appearance of the neighborhood by removing trash and weeds from sidewalks, bus stops, and public spaces. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy being outdoors and want to make a visible impact in the community.

Volunteer Responsibilities

Pick up litter along sidewalks and curb lines throughout the Short Vine corridor.

Collect trash around bus stops, tree wells, parking lots, and near city trash cans.

Place collected litter into designated trash bags and dispose of it in nearby city trash cans or directed disposal points.

Remove weeds from landscaping beds and tree wells.

Report any major issues observed during cleanup, such as overflowing trash cans or illegal dumping.

Follow the assigned cleanup route or zone to ensure consistent coverage of the district.

Volunteer Qualifications

Reliable and able to complete assigned cleanup routes.

Comfortable walking outdoors for extended periods.

Able to safely lift and carry bags of collected litter and landscaping debris.

Positive attitude and interest in supporting neighborhood beautification.

Help us bring community stories to life through a podcast! We are seeking a creative and motivated volunteer to assist with the development, recording, and production of a podcast that highlights impactful organizations, community leaders, and social justice efforts. This role is perfect for someone interested in storytelling, media, communications, or nonprofit work.

Volunteers will collaborate with staff to brainstorm episode ideas, support interviews, edit audio, and help shape engaging podcast content. No prior podcast experience is required, just enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Meet and serve people on the margins in our OTR community through a Sunday morning breakfast open from 6:30-8:30am at Prince of Peace Church, 1528 Race Street.  Setup team arrives from 5:30-6:00am.  Doors open to the public at 6:30am.  Prepare food, serve and interact with guests, help with clean up.   A listening ear is key to connecting them with the many forms of support available in the OTR community.  Volunteers may work 2-3 hours, negotiable with program leader Pastor Larry Devereaux.

Join us in supporting local nonprofit member organizations serving the Greater Cincinnati community. Volunteers will assist with a variety of event-based needs, including event setup and breakdown, registration tables, greeting guests, distributing materials, light administrative support, and general event assistance.

This opportunity is ideal for students and community members who want hands-on experience while making a meaningful impact. Our member organizations focus on areas such as social justice, health equity, education, environmental sustainability, and community advocacy.

Program pauses during holiday breaks and during summer. Background check required and paid for by Hope Ignites Cincinnati.

Volunteer on a Saturday morning in the food pantry getting food into the hands of those experiencing food insecurity with a spirit of welcoming and dignity in our for-choice pantry! Tasks include stocking shelves, assisting guests with getting food, helping them to their cars. Variety of roles accessible for both volunteers needing low impact activity, and those looking to lift boxes and move around.

From 9am-10am, we set up the pantry and assign roles to the volunteers, then open hours for guests to come shop are 10am-12pm. The food pantry is open on July 11th & 25th, August 8th & 22nd, September 5th & 19th, October 3rd, 17th, & 31st, November 14th, December 5th &19th.

Volunteer would be trained on how to enter units from individual staff unit logs into the Participant Management System to support billing for KY Counseling, KY Parenting, and KY Brighton Center. This is a weekly task that could take up to 4 hours a week depending on skillset of volunteer.
