About our Organization
Findlay Market is a vibrant living landmark in the heart of Over-the-Rhine. We value freshness above all, emphasizing a variety of locally grown food and unique, locally created products sold by people we know as friends and neighbors. We embrace our role as a vital anchor for a strengthened central city and Over-the-Rhine. We value genuine human connections and social interactions that a vibrant, dynamic public marketplace promotes. We value the diversity in all definitions that exists among our merchants and our shoppers.
How our organization engages UC students
Findlay Market acts as a vital community anchor, a grocery destination for all things fresh and local, and a perfect spot to spend an afternoon immersed in the diversity of our city. The Corporation for Findlay Market (CFFM) is the non-profit organization that manages the market. CFFM is responsible for everything at the market, including:
- Keeping the historic market house and surrounding area safe and clean
- Nearly a dozen annual events to attract shoppers and promote market merchants
- Hosting market tours
- Small business entrepreneurship initiatives
- Promoting SNAP Plus and Produce Perks to our low-income shoppers
- Music at the Market
- Community Nights and other weekday programming
- Findlay Kitchen, a shared-use incubator kitchen with a focus on helping minority, women and immigrant owned businesses start, grow and scale
- Findlay Culinary Training Program, to help those with high barriers to employment gain the necessary skills to find well-paying jobs in the restaurant industry
