About our Organization

We are students from all different backgrounds and disciplines, but share a united mission to end the fight on cancer. Each of us have been individually affected in some way by cancer as a survivor, caregiver, family, friend, or neighbor. Our organization is a national student group that works very closely with the American Cancer Society who provides the research, resources, and support to millions of cancer patients and families each year.

How our organization engages UC students

The American Cancer Society on Campus works to raise money and awareness for all those individuals affected by cancer and help put an end to this fight. Our main event is Relay for Life which is a day full of fun games, activities, food, performances, and remembrance. We work with students across campus and individuals in the community to create the best and largest event possible to be able to create the most positive impact. Throughout the year, we raise funds and spread information on campus about various types or cancer, cancer research, and resources to students. Then we hold Relay for Life which brings together all of these efforts for the year in one big event with all the money raised going back to directly benefit the American Cancer Society and their mission. Our event has also been nationally recognized for 2 years in a row for being a top performing school!
