Turtle Up

Turtle Up is a U.S.-based nonprofit dedicated to protecting endangered sea turtles in Ghana through community-led conservation, education, and sustainable development. They work with local coastal communities to monitor nesting beaches, prevent poaching, and protect turtle habitats. Turtle Up also empowers youth through STEAM-based environmental education and offers volunteer eco-trips for students to engage in hands-on conservation. Their initiatives include a GPS tracking project for Olive Ridley turtles, youth soccer teams, and alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals to promote both ecological and community well-being.

We would like to complete a project with Mad tree brewery where we put up several pieces of artwork on their mural wall for a season. For this we need volunteer students from UC (DAAP or other department) to complete this project making the murals out of plastic!
