Happen, Inc.

Happen, Inc. is a creative organization dedicated to bringing children, parents, and the community together through art. Happen offers a wide range of interactive, hands-on educational programs and workshops that inspire creativity and imagination. For the past 26 years, the organization has been committed to providing free programs that foster collaboration, skill-building, and self-expression for individuals of all ages. With a focus on creating a supportive environment, Happen, Inc. continues to make art and creativity accessible, offering a space where families and community members can come together to explore, create, and connect.

Happen has engaged with UC students in a variety of impactful ways over the years, fostering collaboration and hands-on learning. One of the notable partnerships has been with students active in Engineers Without Borders, where Happen has participated in several projects. In addition, the Happen Teen Program has worked closely with graduate students from the Environmental Engineering department over two summers, focusing on a project that involved data collection related to air pollution in the Northside area. The program has also offered unique opportunities for teens to explore the UC campus, including special tours of the engineering facilities and the electron microscope lab. Happen has further expanded its outreach by collaborating with the French Department to introduce French-influenced activities to Happen families, enriching their cultural experiences. Additionally, through partnerships with industrial design students, Happen organized an event where families had the chance to experience virtual reality for the first time, combining innovation with community engagement. These experiences have provided UC students with meaningful opportunities to contribute to real-world projects while connecting with diverse communities.
