About our Organization

We are a not-for profit, all volunteer organization that provides baseball for about 300 children each year, ranging in age from 3-15 years old. We have a 12 field complex, which is large for this kind of organization. We have existed for over 60 years. Our mission is to provide an opportunity for every child who wants to play baseball to be able to play. We are always in search of volunteers to continue this mission.

How our organization engages UC students

Our baseball organization's goal is to provide baseball to our communities youth at an affordable cost. Recreational sports leagues are disappearing and being replaced by select/travel ball that is too costly and time consuming for many families. We continue to provide a rec baseball league, where total costs vary by age, but are under $135.00 total for any age. We offer financial assistance for those who need it and this year are offering a scholarship to a Harrison High School student who played for HJB. We do have some tryout teams that are still much less expensive than travel ball , but we require at least one team at each age level that requires no try-out. We run our organization solely with volunteers and this includes field and ground maintenance, field preparation for games days, operating a concession stand and special projects such as maintaining picnic tables, fencing, etc. There are possible additional projects such as building a storage area.
