Sierra Club Miami Group

The Sierra Club is the nation’s largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization. Our Miami Group covers 20 counties in southwest Ohio, including Cincinnati. The group includes many sections of focus such conservation, environmental education, political action and outings. Sierra Club mission statement: To explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the earth; To practice and promote the responsible use of the earth’s ecosystems and resources; To educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment; and to use all lawful means to carry out these objectives.

We hope to engage with the UC community in our conservation and environmental education efforts. This could include recurring volunteer opportunities such as support for our monthly educational forum, or support for specific conservation campaign and outreach events.
