Mentoring Plus

No other program in Kentucky gives high risk youth such a proven opportunity for positive change. Mentoring Plus follows a proven methodology to help teens overcome the obstacles they face and turn them into opportunities through life coaching, spiritual guidance and family support. We don’t take our program lightly – its design is evidenced-based and formed from best practices. Most importantly, everyone’s situation is unique, so each teen’s needs are addressed individually, in accordance with our three-step process.

Mentoring Plus offers UC students opportunities to make a meaningful impact on the lives of at-risk youth in our community. Our organization provides a variety of volunteer roles, including mentoring, tutoring, event coordination, and administrative support, that allow students to develop leadership skills while building strong, supportive relationships. We actively collaborate with local colleges to connect with students in social work, education, and community service programs, offering hands-on experiences that complement their academic studies. Additionally, our events, such as community outreach programs, fundraising initiatives, and youth activities, provide UC students with flexible and engaging ways to volunteer. We value the fresh perspectives and innovative ideas students bring, and we aim to provide them with experiences that inspire personal and professional growth.
