How our organization engages UC students
The Young Public Interest Initiative is not for profit program managed by the public interest law firm Michele Young Law. The program creates a better future for children, women, and all through policy changes and programming. Our current work is focused on the following. 1. Ending the mortality disparity among women, especially low income and black/brown women related to breast cancer. In 2022, Michele Young Law passed Ohio HB 371 that provides increased access and coverage to breast cancer screenings for all women. 2. Creating a restorative justice culture in schools and communities for children and all through an anti-bullying framework. 3. Increasing the vitality and wellbeing of Cincinnati’s residents by passing policy changes that promote integrative health.
