About our Organization

The Germania Society of Cincinnati is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our society is committed to maintaining German Heritage throughout Greater Cincinnati. We accomplish this through various events throughout the year. Our members range in age and background, some are born and raised in Cincinnati, some are German born, some are from other parts of the United States, and some have no German background and all are equally accepted and celebrated. Our society is constantly growing and expanding with new members who are interested in learning about the German culture.

How our organization engages UC students

We promote the German culture around Cincinnati, the United States and in our home land of Germany. We are constantly in contact with other clubs and societies in the United States and Germany, competing, sharing ideas, and celebrating with other German culture lovers. Our main events held on our grounds each year include the Germania Oktoberfest, the Germania Chriskindlmarkt, twice annual Volksmarches, the Germania Karneval program, and various entertainment and cultural events. Germania also sponsors and promotes various culture programs throughout Greater Cincinnati. These include German language programs in our schools, events at other member societies of the German American Citizens League of Greater Cincinnati, German radio programs, and cultural programs held in our Klubhaus.
